Gamers, get ready for a big second-half to 2012

All this talk for a new round of consoles, and yet we have a pretty awesome lineup of upcoming games. Just looking ahead into May, games like Max Payne 3, Future Soldier and Starhawk should entertain us ahead of the annual "dry" period around E3.

But what about that pre-Christmas retail rush when the biggest and best games of the year see release? September through November truly looks to be an amazing time for gamers, with a wide range of blockbusters and genres on offer for console gamers.

Borderlands 2, RE6, Halo 4, Black Ops 2, BioShock Infinite.

I hate the end of the year with a hot fiery passion and I still get sucked in. It feels overwhelming but when the months arrive and I finally play the game, I finish it within two weekends. Well, single player wise. :/

Also Fable: The Journey looks absolutely terrible. Have you guys seen the artstyle? Looks like a two year olds RPG turned into a party game. *shudder*

Only games on that list I'm mildly interested in are Resident Evil 6 and Borderlands 2, and I doubt I'll get either until they're $20.

My games for the second half of the year are Pokemon White 2, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem Awakening, New Super Mario Bros 2, Pikmin 3 (and a Wii U console...).

Little Big Planet Karting, Versus XIII, The Last of Us, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion and Sony Smash Bros as well if any of them make it this year.

Also, fail list leaves-out WiiU :P. Then again the first sentence did speak about current-gen titles that are going to make the 2nd half of the year good, so i can forgive you for missing Pikmin 3 though i think Aliens: Colonial Marines should have been in there. I'll definitely be getting Borderlands 2 (hopefully on WiiU, otherwise on PC), AC3 on WiiU, Pikmin 3, Darksiders 2 on WiiU and New Super Mario Bros 2 on 3DS. If RE6 hits WiiU i'll get that too. Geez i'm glad i'm piling money on my WiiU preorder right now.

It's OK.

Revelations was cool, nothing amazing
Kid Icarus is fun but I got bored quickly
ME3 = epic
FF XIII-2 LOL not sure if serious
Last Story looks great, didn't play it. Heard good things.
Same with Pandora's Tower
Twisted Metal was decent
Jak and Daxter is fun but hardly blockbuster
Vita is dead in the water.

It's been a solid first-half, but pretty average imo. No real standouts.

Also factor Wii U in December for this list and it's a pretty awesome 2nd-half to 2012 coming up.

It still amazes me that people still bother numbering the games after 4. You don't see people calling MW3, COD8. There's a subtitle for a reason.

honestly dont care for much of them.. halo 4 and resident evil 6 are the only ones i probly will end up getting.. far cry 3 looks interesting but will wait a while after release
