First of all...
Arma II Combined operations is roughly $30, on steam. you get Arma II and operation arrow head, then you spend about a good half a hour to an hour modding it to play the DayZ mod. Cheap as anything, not hard to do, i definitely recommend it.
So how did my first day go..?
It started well, by me avoiding a heap of zombies and not getting chased, to finding a major city on the coastline which then found me my first weapon; a crossbow. from that city i found a heap of different ammo, food, drinks, chem lights, hunting knife and so on.
Then as i finally saw another player getting chased in an open feild i thought it would be the perfect place to kill him and raid his supplies, landing a crossbow bolt to the shoulder without him looking made him realise how effed he was.
On this epic chase around the hills, i got sick and tired of chasing him since i needed food supplies, i ran towards to coast again in search of more little villages and i came across a pier.
This is where i soon met my death, zombies hoarded the place and i ran out to the jetty and bolted to the very end. jumped off into the water and tried to swim under the jetty then diagonally back to shore, whilst trying to swim under i managed to somehow break a leg and hence upon coming to shore i was bandaging myself to stop the bleeding and just waiting out the effects (wasnt sure how to treat a broken leg
:'( ).
When suddenly another survivor that was being chased by 2 zombies came rushing close to me hoping theyd kill me before her. as i was getting bashed around and being waited for death so i could be looted (effing cow
[Rage] ) i had no option but to crawl underwater out to sea, as i was; drowning, bleeding out and over all dieing, everything faded and my first experience of Dayz was complete.
