Day 2...
It started off really well, by firstly spawning in one of the biggest cities in the game. upon my arival the first building i happen to run in i found a pistol, ammo, and food for my epic journey to come.
Taking @Skarteh advice, i thought id wonder inland for adventuring purposes. after much not knowing where i was and what was to come ahead, i stumbled upon an old castle ruin right on the top of this massive hill/mountain.
This is where i found almost endless supplies of ammo, food and pepsi! i strongly reccomend for people to go search for it, cause there is some decent loot up there.
After heading down the mountain towards the coastline, i ended up back in
that massive city. after witnessing players almost everywhere, i had to take first shot before they saw me and shot me with whatever hand-cannon they were holding.
I met my first victim on the pier before the town. he was prone about in the open, with nothing but an axe. Revenge kill number one (the last guy to kill me, killed me with an axe), i ran up to him with a crowbar i recently found, wacked him a few hundred times they realised all the zombies i had attracted. in a slow-motion action packed scene, i jumped into the water and swam away. this didnt count as a "murder", but im still going to count it.
After finally hitting the shoreline after realising the swimming action takes way to effing long to get anywhere, i decided to go crouched and scout around the town, after re organising my magazines in my back pack, i saw another survivor. Victim number 2.
As he was running in from the open road to near the building i was creeping about, he stopped to check his inventory. i came to the realisation, this could be the chance to kill him before he sees me.
A whole M1911 clip was emptied into him, he died like a patriot. i heared him laugh on mic, and then throw his last 2 road flares randomly around him (like some sort of dramatic movie ending). and the game prompted me; Tails killed Dave.
As much as i felt like an asshole, its a terrible unsafe democracy out there. and it is every man/woman for themselves.
Now i could finally check the loot in the massive office like building i was near, finally i could get some more ammo and hopefully find a new primary weapon! but then a female character that had been chased by a zombie came out of nowhere and ran into the doors i was just about to go in. i quickly huddled around the corner and poked my head around the corner to see if she'd die.
Nope she hacked the zombie in half and applied a band-aid. not know what i should do, since i came to the realisation i was out of bullets and only had my crowbar, i was summing up the probability of me winning an axe fight. i thought of it and my answer was to just avoid the confrontation. so i snuck back behind the building.
Then BAM. she had come around the building and was a metre away from me wielding her axe. it was an intense mexican stand off, neither of us wanted to kill each other but we know the consequences if we didnt. then we talked through direct communication; this is how i met my first DayZ ally player "WU".
Now, WU and I were both in need of supplies. like any other time in DayZ (am i right?).
WU said "i need all the help i can get"
i responded "with follow me, i know a place where i know a gun could be"
after knowing she actually trusted me, and that i actually murdered 2 people 20mins before her, i thought she could actually be some use if we stuck together.
After scavenging, we heard a heap of gun fire. i spotted the fight from afar and told WU to go prone and watch this.
a bunch of friends (young kids cause i could hear their mic spam towards another random player) were under attack from zombies and another player they didnt know of. WU and i watched these kids die to zombies as we could only see one end of the fight from our perspective.
Once the zombies were killed we saw them all healing up (3 kids 2 had weapons, one sniper, one shotgun). WU said no lets flank them, i though this was a genius idea and became to think WU was the right companion for me.
so flanking the powerplant warehouse, we prone crawled left and crouched in through the right. out of sight.
WU opened the huge door they closed to protect themselves. i crouched in holding my Pistol, WU found one with a shotgun took a bullet to the chest but managed to hack him dead, the other 2 were already dead to my right and the sight of them dead was to hard to tell who managed to kill them.
I rummaged through the bodies, as WU was bandaging herself. suddenly a gun with an AK-47 + gillie-suit runs in, lucky my reaction times from CSS kicked in and i managed to land a bullet or two in the chest. He ran back out the door and i turned to see WU dead, this was the guy that had called this massacre. This was my final revenge kill and it was going to be the best accomplishment ever, if i manage to get the first shot.
I hopped over to one of the dead kids and picked up a shotgun + ammo, just about when i was going to face the door to prep myself. he took no chances, ran in and emptied the clip. i was long gone. Everything went like a flash, the last image i saw was him closing all the warehouse doors and running back to the bodies. I had no chance against a guy with such experience. It was clear no one did.
That life was by far the intense life ive ever lived in DayZ. Dieing really makes you realise how much you lost when you were achieving so much.
