So according to various news sources, Today is the Internet Doomsday. Which is apparently a software scam set to disconnect tens if not hundreds of thousands of PC's from the internet.

Apparently linked with a Malicious Software ring and the FBI, The creators of said malicious software use it to hack into internet searches and divert users to the hackers' DNS servers.

Although the FBI had used a temporary fix to this after being caught up with the same scam in 2011, The FBI will shut down the temporary servers tonight, Monday at 12:01 AM EDT.

An online security company Symantec has stated:

Connectivity will be lost to the Internet Period. If your computer is still using DNS entries that are pointing to the FBI servers on July 9, you will lose TOTAL access to the Internet. No connecting to the office from home, no updating Facebook, nothing until the DNS settings are fixed.

It's been estimated that about 64,000 computers in the U.S will be affected by the shutdown, While another 200,000 could be affected.

Yhere was a goverment website that checked if you had it or not, I did it and it said I didn't have it, but I haven't been home to actually check.

I moved all my "stuff" to an external hdd first of course, this is a government website.
