MMGN Twitch TV Users

It seems that a few of us are starting to get into Twitch TV either streaming games our selves or watching other people play. Either way it can be entertaining. Heller got the ball rolling with a few sessions here pc.mmgn.com/... then Kero stepped up and did a few events him self showing us some classic N64 games like OoT.

I thought it would be a good idea to have this thread to share what we are all doing on Twitch. Share channels so we can all follow each other (signing up only takes a couple of minutes), also having a Twitch TV account allows you to chat while watching other people play.
We can also use this thread to help each other get started, what programs to use, settings etc.
Last but not least lets use this thread to notify everyone when we are about to stream a game. If I'm around and I see someone announce that they are about to stream a game I'll Facebook and Tweet it to help get more viewers interested.

I'm just getting started and will figure a way to start steaming games with my overly complicated setup soon. Feel free to add me.
I've never heard of Twitch TV [Derp]

I've been meaning to do something with my account for awhile, but don't really have the right tools to stream games or that unless they're from a camera. :/

What about Justin.TV? It's basically the same thing, just a gaming based spin-off of it :P
Here's a good place to start if you want to start streaming stuff www.xsplit.com/... ...not sure if I can get it to work yet still downloading updates and stuff :P

Sign up so that you can watch when others stream stuff.

edit:
scratch that link Xsplit want money to stream a game [Rage]
i been watching a welshman play trying to play through ALL the megaman games on twitch it funny [MOG]
So anyone know a free way to get started?
Need any specific hardware?

Wouldnt mind connecting my PS3 so peeps can watch me pwn on BF3 :P
I attempted streaming late last year, just to see if my Internet + laptop could handle it. Result was fine, except for some visual lag spikes every few seconds. My upload speed's not so good, and laptop isn't powerful. =P

But I do watch streams on Twitch, I've been watching a guy named Cosmo and a few other people practising the new Ocarina of Time any% speedrun route on and off all day. =P
Beating OoT in roughly 25 minutes is nothing short of amazing.

Yeah I've been watching people do it too, it's freaking crazy.

My Twitch is i4mt0m, my own3d is iamtom. Still working on setting it all up and getting it working though.
I'm having some trouble with my 64 streams since Xsplit update. Also Guyver, xsplit works fine free, I'm using the free version.

But me and @Harry were talking about streaming some Borderlands very soon together, so if anyone wants to watch that or has Borderlands on PC and wants to join in with us playing, just shoot me a PM and your Skype and the ball will get rolling.

When I click on file. add game it brings up the "this feature is not available" box and I can't get around it.
With the free version you can only stream windowed mode games now, one of the new things they did to nudge people into buying it. So you put the game in windowed mode and go to.

Add Screen Region. Select your window, it will import the image and sound automatically as long as it's coming through your default windows speakers and then you're ready to broadcast,

Awesome! I'll give that a try tonight. Thanks
Fixed my sound issue with the 64 games [MOG]

I shall, starting probably sometime this afternoon/tomorrow evening be playing Majoras Mask, and also. If anyone has suggestions for 64 games they'd like to watch me stream, PM me, post it in here, tell me on my stream if I'm there. I'm open to all suggestions :D
Maybe I'll try playing and hosting a ME3 game while streaming on Twitch TV

/scumbagkitteh
Ujelly of my internets? [MOG]

If I stream ME3 someone else will have to host. Guyver. :P
Heres Mine guys Started a new one.
Gennerally with twitch it depends on your interent so not everyone s settings will be the same I found it easy just to broadcast it see how it goes, then stop it then tweak it till I get it good enough.

I can do MW3 steam on PS3 if anyone is cool to have a PS3 MW3 game night
Sound screwed up again [Rage]

I dunno why it's doing this specifically just for this program [Rage] [Rage]

EDIT: Fixed it again..

Just a warning for anyone wanting to do streaming of things like 64 games and such. Apparently they don't agree with some sound cards with xsplit running at the same time, you need to use onboard audio.

I just run it through a Mixer [MOG]
Fancy ass :P [Shifty]

EDIT: Got bored. Broadcasting Majoras Mask now.

Link is up the page.
Managed to quickly steam some Mass Effect 3 in windowed mode. I assume the way everyone else does is it by broadcasting a section of their screen, or is their a better way of doing it?

Also curious as to what settings I should adjust for bit rate, frames per second and stuff like that.

I was playing on my middle screen, had Xsplit running on another and had a browser window open the another. This gave me a live feed of the delay, there's a decent time gap between me playing at what is shown on Twitch.

Pay for xsplit sub and use the fullscreen mode I guess :E

And for the stuff about settings I think that's more for personal preference, probably play around with it till it's comfortable for you, I think it's just a matter of bandwidth available for you.

Delay will always be there though I believe.

Ok since it's working I'll leave it alone. Not planning on paying for anything MMGN Twitch TV Users How much is the full version anyway? [Shifty]

Since we are broadcasting a section of the screen (I'm assuming this is the way others do it) I think it wouldn't be too hard to get consoles running like this. I could hook up my PS3 or Wii via HDMI to one of my screens and broadcast that section only.
