All the way back in 1979 (no, lol, it was just last week) I was playing the Hunger Games in Minecraft. My heart beat was so fast as the countdown started... The quotation marks show what I typed, and when...

10... I need to enter a kit so I can start with some good items...; 9... Hurry up!!!; 8... "/kit";... 7... "B"; 6... "e"; 5... "as"; 3... "tmas"; 2... "e"; 1... 0... "r".

I realised I was in trouble as I didn't get a chance to press Enter, and I therefore started the massive PVP tournament of about 70 people without a single item besides a compass, which I could use to track the closest player to me...

As soon as the countdown finished, the 70 of us were given a grace period of 2 minutes where we were invincible... In that 2 minutes, I just had time to collect some wood, make a crafting table, wooden swords and pickaxes and begin to dig down... I had little notice of the "BIGGEST MINECRAFT RULE EVER" - to never dig right below your feet... But who cares... There's 70 people playing, I'll day anyway...

The grace period was over. There was about 30 lightning strikes, each to signify a single player's death. So there were only 40 of us left. I look down to my compass for a second. I see I am tracking. I see my compass is tracking a person called "luccio98". I message him and ask him if he wants to be my ally. He replies with a "yes, I'm tracking you, so I'm coming to come to you".

I dig down to bedrock. There is a person called Emilianolopez, who is constantly killing everyone. I see on the screen "WhiteStone was killed by Emilianolopez with an Iron Sword". I am astonished that someone is already using an iron sword. If she has an Iron Sword, she must have Iron Armour...

I get a fright as I see luccio98 right in front of me, but when I realise it is luccio98, I am relieved. I see on the screen again, "SuprBoy was killed by Emilianolopez with an Iron Sword". I check my compass. It only points to luccio, which means I won't be able to track when there are players nearby.

I dig down to bedrock, I see dust particles everywhere. Luccio is right behind me.

Then from in front of me, I hear blocks being broken. I see a dim name-tag: Titan_NL... He starts to attack Luccio, Luccio begins to attack me. I am scared out of my wits. I attack Luccio with Titan_NL, and realise that Luccio just got killed by Titan, there are 35 players left. I turn my back on Luccio's death-spot and face Titan. His skin is a zombie, but more grotesque than the normal zombies in the game. I see he has an Iron Sword too, but I only have a Wooden Sword.

I press the mouse-button faster than I ever have in my life, and relief overwhelms me as I realise I have killed a guy. But it turns out that I didn't kill him. It was hunger, he ran out of food... It was my dream to kill someone, but that's over now, I just have to preserver my life. In the time between Titan and Luccio's death, there had been almost 20 killings. There are 16 players left...

Emilianolopez is on a killing rampage. So far, only 8 minutes into the game, I see a message on the screen: "Emilianolopez was killed by Munckin_Master with an Iron Sword". Immediately I start to shake. I know it is just a game, but it is so hard to ward off that feeling of dread. My heart turns to ice, as I realise that she just got killed, with an Iron-Sword, which there are just too many of...

Once i tried making a server for my friends and i couldnt get i working, only for me. so angry!! [Rage] any help?

I also went on my first mining trip and i found lapis and i thought it was diamond ( i was a big noob back then) and I was like running around the house so happy then i searched diamond on minecraft wiki and it was actuallt lapis I was so sad. =_=

The most fun i have had in minecraft was building the massive pyramid with a heap of other mmgn members back on the map that @Doyl hosted, which was then passed onto Doles *_*

Back when I first started playing I put a saddle on a pig so I could ride it but I couldn't work out how to get off the damn thing...... the pig travelled miles by the time I figured it out and I never found my house again!

My 7 year old son has Aspergers and is completely obsessed with Minecraft...His much loved cat, Mischa, was bitten by a snake last year and died, he was heartbroken :*O After we buried his cat he came home and started playing Minecraft. He was very busy for almost an hour after which he called me over to the PC...He had made a church and a graveyard with a grave for his cat, complete with tombstone R.I.P Mischa. He visited her *grave* every day for months.
He is also a Lego fan and can't wait to get his hands on some Minecraft Lego!

I've only recently started playing. But my son who has autism joined me. He's in love with the game and we get to spend some quality mining time together. Its the first time he's been still in months!

I could die a million times in the game and it would still be fun cause I can bond with my son! (love)

Ok, so the first time i played minecraft i was keen to build a minecart track. i must have been on for hours digging to bedrock and making tracks around the bottom of the minecraft world. Now when i first started playing i didnt know what creepers did. so i attacked the creeper and ran to the top of my track, oh how i wish i checked...
The track was complete! i was so excited to crack into this track which i hasnt been used yet as i didnt want to ruin the finished product.
the time had come! i booted it up and i was on the track, it was great to see it come together! when i reached bedrock on the track i saw a large hole ahead of me. It scared the life out of me!!! i tried to escape the trap that was the minecart but i was still familiarising myself with the controlls. I fell through bedrock almost as soon as the track had begun. It made me incredibly sad to think that the hours, upon hours, upon hours of gameplay was washed away thanks to that creeper.
That fatal day almost threw me off minecraft in its entirity, but im happy to announce that i still play happily almost every day. :)

i was up late playing on my first hardcore world i searched on and on mining and mining until i saw the shiny blue shimmer of diamonds suddenly i shouted out "DIAMONDS" i covered my mouth and went back to playing i was still mining and i found the moss covered cobble stone i was wondering what it was so i mined it and being welcomed to a skeleton spawner i walked in and found 2 chest one with some food,saddle and some red stone and.i had seen people find and use these on the youtube before and know that they are pretty helpful when it comes to getting experience fro enchantments so i spent the rest of my time on it building and building thinking of ideas how to make this and easy access one hit kill spawner and eventually i did it so i been getting all the arrows,bones and experience i want.I would really love to get the minecraft lego because im a huge fan of minecraft and lego. :D

I see another message on the screen: "Munckin_Master has apparently never heard of stairs". It takes me a minute to comprehend this, but I realise he just fell down the hole that I dug to get down to the bedrock. More relief comes to me. I collect his loot and I now have an Iron Sword. I am astonished, but ecstatic, that I now have an Iron Sword. This gives me a chance over the people who don't actually have any iron at all...

Ominously, time passes, and over that time I see a message: "Sherr75 has apparently never heard of stairs. 4 players remaining". Oh My Gosh, I think to myself, if I can manage to get some iron armour, I could possibly win. I take some time to view the kills that my fellow Hunger Games Companions made. I can't help but notice that none of my competitors have made any kills. They probably don't have an Iron Sword... But still, this means that they definitely have a convincing hiding place. I praise them for this. My hiding places are always so deep underground.

I also can't help but notice the fact that one of my competitors, DrasticJUNK_BOY's Minecraft is constantly crashing... He keeps leaving and rejoining the game. My compass now points at Egg_Slayer3, who hasn't said a word the whole game. He is obviously a serious competitor...

I take a look Valcaponne, who didn't make any kills either... I remember that he was asking to be my ally at the start of the game. I see this as a possible threat. I look at my compass again. I still see Egg_Slayer3.

But right as I put my compass down, I see that Valcaponne tried to "swim in lava".

It's between the three of us now, DrasticJUNK_BOY, Egg_Slayer and I. But when I try to find Egg_Slayer's nametag, which I am currently tracking, I see that he "fell really far".

And suddenly, out of the blue, I see that DrasticJUNK_BOY left the game... I knew I would win! My dreams have come true, but then he joins the game again...

He begins to ask for my co-ordinates, which I tell him, but it seems that he can't be bothered to come down to bedrock to fight me like a man... He asks me where I am in the world. I say "Australia". He uses this as an excuse to get me off task. He asks what time it is in Australia. I say "It's after midnight". He tells me to go to sleep, and just let him win. But I really wasn't going to give up so easily...

I tell him to come down to bedrock, when his Minecraft crashes and he joins the game again. I know that if your Minecraft crashes 5 times in a single Hunger Games Tournament, you get kicked from the server. I wanted to kill him, there must be an EPIC battle!

I realise that if I want to kill him, I have limited time, and that it was now or never...

I build a "noob tower" and pull myself up out of a large ravine. I see DrasticJUNK_BOY chopping down trees and creep up on him, ever so quiet...

I slash him with my Iron Sword, he has leather armour, though, he must have stayed above ground the whole time, all he has is a wooden sword, I see, as he turns his head around to face me. I see how messed up it looks and I've taken so much health off him that he should die any moment. But then the game crashes. What a shame!!! I'll never get to have that epic battle. But we already did have that epic battle! It just wasn't my sword that killed him. It was the lag my sword created.

DrasticJUNK_BOY left, and he was never going to come back! I see a message in the chat bar, which constantly repeated "TeriblyExcellent Wins! TeriblyExcellent Wins!"

This survival story that I was in, has a moral. It is so similar to real life... It proves that even though you may start lower than someone else, it depends on what you do with your time as to how far you'll go in life. This Survival Games was like a proof of concept.

So I had spent two to three days building a ginormous obsidian fortress with living centres and everything, and I decided to make a switch that blew the whole thing up in to flames. So I set to work, and thirty minutes later I had it. After, I started putting redstone through the walls and then put another layer of obsidian so I could make a lighting system with glowstone, sticky pistons, etc. But, as I was wiring it, I touched a bit of the switch that was connected to the TNT. I didn't see at the time so all I was doing was going =D
So I started testing. I had my diamond armour and all my cool stuff in a chest in the obsidian fortress at the time as well. When I flicked the switch all the lighting was working great! Until I heard the hissing sound.
WHAAAAAAAAAA?

was hanging out with heller, exploring this big mine

then found this rail tracks lead in to the wall, started digging but didn't lead anywhere, heller raged and want to leave, but i reminded him that i was his boss so he sulked a bit. i dug up and down, and found a hugggeee area below, running out of torches and totally lost, we found a dungeon. then found this black thing with long arms and long legs (saw it the first time), not knowing if it was friendly or not, but beautiful nevertheless. Heller tried to kill it and it killed heller. I ran away.

I'd just bought the game and was going to test it out, i continued to read the wiki for over 2 hours memorising crafting recipes. I logged into Minecraft and opened a new world, i login into the world, build a floating house with one of the old water-ladders going up to it. I felt complete, this game has captured me and continued to surprise me even from all the way back in Alpha :)
I really hope I win as I've adored Minecraft for all the times i've played it and i still have some lego pieces lying around my room :D

Once marge, snibbelly, whaling and I captured a couple pigs and cows on the old Gibson and blew them up with a weird tnt building, this was before you could lead animals... it was funnier in memory then it is explaining it, but i guess that is how it goes with most minecraft stories.

With 2 weeks of school holidays done and dusted Minecraft was an absolute god send for 3 boys under 12....they love filling up houses with lava, building fortresses whilst dressed in diamond armour...the next bext thing would be to win one of these awesome lego sets. (love)
