So after a huge amount of Facebook users started hassling us to get an open Minecraft server up and running, Endboss gave the go ahead to get it done. This server is 100% open to everyone, and those who want to actually be part of the MMGN community, you can find out about joining the exclusive Gibson server in this thread - pc.mmgn.com/...

If that doesn't work, you can connect manually by adding 115.178.20.82

If you want to be an admin on the server, you can apply via this thread.

i was wondering if i could become mod for minecraft server mainly because of the fact that its a pain in the ass to rebuild spawn everyday without permission to delete locked chests people have placed to griefed and the inability to delete stuff in spawn.the courthouse is fullof colourful wool :|

mods can only really ban people atm. You shouldn't need to unlock a chest. Its probably locked because it's someone elses. i don't know what you'd need to delete at spawn :S.

The general stance to moderators atm is we would like to know the people we are moderating. 1 week isn't enough time to determine the reliability of a player.

E2: Server news!
1: Creeper land damage is turned off for all you sissies out there. They don't make a boom but they still hurt.

2. Spawn is now protected. For atleast today nobody but mods and ops will be able to do shabangabang in it. A "spawn building team" is in the beginnings of setup now. Post here or tell one of the mods/ops on mc that you are interested. Currently it's just Jakerzone in the spawn team.

3. people can now do /who (just for you doles *_* ) sidenote: you can also do /list or press tab for a list of current players

4. (not confirmed) moderators might/should be able to protect people's homes now. would love someone to confirm

People place chests, furnaces and replace a heap of doors in spawn, then lock them all with /cprivate :S They'll place furnaces where the doors should go on buildings and then lock them. =_=

I'd like to apply for OP (either directly or through progression of mod)

I'm a community building person rather than a personal haxxor. would build things for the community, with the community and help with whatever troubles there may be. I'd be a people person :) but in no way would it mean I give everyone what they wanted and I'd avoid using cuboid and //set unless it means I'm stopping the ongoing hackers. Have had previous experience too as I'm sure some of the older members of Gibson remember.

Loving the PvP arena's, they remind me of Laser Tag arenas! :P Oh btw as for fixing up spawn, the Inns been fixed up. Which brings me to my next point... Anyone got any ideas for spawn buildings? Library's, Hospitals, a school? Rofl :P
