Since I got my phone I have been stuffing around with a few launcher options. Actually started off with Go then tried a couple others and now I'm back with Go and that's where I'll be staying I think. 1 I like how it all works and 2 I always get distracted for hours customizing my phone :P

I've got Go Launcher installed with the Classic Blue theme and by time I get this thread written I'd probably change it to something else.

I just recently added the Go Locker app which was something I tried before but removed it until I found this Dark theme which I really like. nice and simple and functional.

Go SMS Pro, Go Dialer and Go Contacts have been installed.
I've almost been tempted to actually buy some themes because there's some really good ones out there. Having said that there's still more than enough good free themes to choose from.

Anyone else here use any Go applications?

It's all very straight forward to setup the launcher and keep adding other apps to that. If you end up not liking it you just uninstall the Go Launcher and your phone returns to how it was before you installed it.

Yeah i got the Launcher downloaded, Just having a look at it now.

Do you know if there's any way to be able to remove the pre-installed factory apps? I have useless ones like twitter, myspace and stuff like that. Really pointless :S

It's of a Geth trooper from the Mass Effect wall paper app. There's a bunch of cool wallpapers in there to choose from.

Nice gonna dl it. only thing i dont like about GO launcher is the "running" tab in apps menu, always has apps runniing although they have been closed off.

Wow looks awesome Guyver. Since Doylee told me to get ADWLauncher, I did and it took hours to customise it. I don't think I can change now :P

Go launcher has good bits about it but there is something I don't like about it. Much prefer adw launcher.
I have spent several hours setting up go launcher and the extra go apps.

I think AWD is also a great launcher but Go has a couple of features I like over AWD and feels slightly easier to use.

Lol I put all go apps on my misses Motorola Razor and showed her how to customize it and she been messing around with it ever since.

I switched from ADW Launcher to Nova Launcher. It's basically the stock ICS launcher but with customisation. [MOG]

I would definitely be using that or Apex if I liked the stock ICS launcher at all.

Another skin I like that I thought I'd share. It's called Steel and it's free.

edit:
The beauty of Go locker is that I can still change my background image. Yeah not a big deal to some people but I spend a lot of time hitting a button just to check the time and date. Going to cycle between the Dark theme I posted earlier and this Glass Box one.

Originally it was a full screen Monster wallpaper but I just cropped it down to suit the lock screen.

Another interesting theme I found for Go locker, this one is called "ray". The only down side is that if you don't have a dark coloured background it's a bit hard to see the swipe buttons.

I've gone back to live wall papers for a bit and noticed that you can still get the live animation going on the lock screen if you select "go launcher background" under the locker options.

Somehow I missed the Go Notification app, just installed it and it seems to be quite handy. It does as the name suggests and adds a notification count to certain apps and services like SMS, email, Facebook etc. Still working out the fine details, ideally I'd like to to add a notification count to all my email apps, Yahoo, Gmail and hotmail.
So all up I have the following installed.
Go Launcher
Go Dialer
Go SMS
Go Switcher Widget
Go Locker
Go Calender Widget

I like how the basic locker with no themes installed looks like this and has the direct access to messages and dialer.

That's the Go calender, and Go Switcher. That Go Switcher is very handy.

Go Launcher with Plate theme, and Go Notification running as you can see with the little 1 next to the Facebook App.

No need to root the phone to use Go Launcher, or most of the other Launchers as well. You can get everything I've mentioned in this thread for the Google Play store. It's all free except for a few themes which I think is a waste of money anyway since there's a decent amount of nice looking themes for free anyway.

Start off with the Go Launcher, have a mess around with that then start adding the other Go Apps and widgets if you like them. Side note, what ever you do to your phone setting it up (the home screen etc) can all be reverted to exactly how you had it before installing Go Launcher if you uninstall the Go Launcher later. So have a mess around with it, if you don't like then uninstall it and it all goes back to how you had it.

It's stuff like this that makes it great, if you get bored with how you phone looks just change themes around, use different effects etc etc. So much freedom with Android when compared to iOS.

Decided to bin the Go Notification app since it doesn't seem to work properly especially with emails. For the Yahoo and standard email apps it shows nothing but for the gmail app it shows a silly number even though I've read all those emails a while ago and even filed them away. Seems to work well with text messages and phone calls though. So not fully broken, not an important app so it can stay uninstalled.
