That's different that's me getting side tracked I only intended to spend a couple of minutes on it a VAM! time is gone :(

This has to be my favourite weather widget. It's called Fancy widget, it's pretty accurate, easy to use and has a lot of customization options.

That's with the MIUI skin, like the application its self the skin is free.

Flashed my phone to cyanogenmod 9 today. This version of ICS is so much faster than the ICSSGS firmware. Feels even faster than Darky's 2.3.

I was using the Slim ICS ROM a few days ago, I didn't really like the Zeam Launcher on it though so now I'm back to Gingerbread.

Might flash CM9 tomorrow, sounds good.

Can ya'll more experienced flashers explain what the kernels are? And which are the good ones?

This cyanogenmod9 is by far the fastest ICS rom I've used so far.

Installed the Google apps packages and have it all nicely set up again. Loving this speed.

The kernel is the core of the operating system that controls how softwares interacts with hardware. Android has been using the Linux 3.x kernel for some time now. You can find more detail on this page en.wikipedia.org/...

By not using that piece of crap software.
Get backup apps from the market! titanium backup and sms backup.

It'll be the most impressive piece of kit once custom roms are released.

Strange problem that I've encountered twice now. Basically I would get a folder that used to have apps in it suddenly become empty. When I go to fill that folder up again via the folder it's self the apps that were in there would all be checked off like they are already in there. If I leave it alone as is for a while it would eventually go back to normal.

Yea its great, like a full computer in my pocket its so fast and the cameras hamazing
yea i cut it before cause i rememberd seeing a guide up here before
but the battery is pretty short but all in all i guess its worth it
and i just disabled the optus apps anyway

Do:
• Delete bloatware from your phone that you never use
• Install only applications that you think you will use
• Install a custom rom if your warranty or need for speed permits it

If you are still using touchwiz it sounds like the issue I had for the first week of owning my SGS where applications install to the sdcard would disappear from the homescreen after mounting to usb or rebooting the phone. One of many reasons I only stayed on Samsung firmware for a week.
