The only FW i've used mostly is 3.2 HC on my xoom

still hasn't got the 4.0 update that was supposed to happen for the wifi version..

Update successful, at first glance looks like there's anew software update system, a few different icon changes, a prompt to setup a Samsung account. So far it looks like all my Go apps, launcher etc still work and everything is how I left it. I just Googled firmware 4.0.3 and it looks like it is ICS, finally! =D
Will have better look tomorrow and have a better mess around.

and I love it so far, feels quicker, looks a little tidier and best of all I can remove most of the bloatware than usually comes with this phone.
Pretty awesome that nothing changed when upgrading to ICS, guess I wont even bother with custom ROMs now this will do me just fine.

Not sure about revolutionary, but it's definitely nice to use.
Same with ics browser + instead of the stock browser (has customisable quick menus and is faster than stock)

Marshal, got to settings and About Phone and you can see the software version there, then put it into google if it doesn't already say.

I just found ICS interface to not be that revolutionary besides the fancy transition graphics and everything, the app drawer looked exactly the same.

I have a galaxy nexus with the smooth liquid on maguro ROM, can't really follow me there :P
Well, unless they have released one for s2, if they have I highly recommend it. Quickest and most stable ROM I've used.

Um dude if you are not sure about changing your ROM I wouldn't recommend doing it...S2 just got the public upgrade to ICS yesterday via Optus.

After using Apex for a bit I've actually gone back to Nova. IMO Nova just feels smoother and has a better set out settings menu. Its still an awesome launcher though just don't prefer it.
