The new dolphin browser beta isn't bad at all.
Seems to have all the functionality of the JB browser but it works with this website properly! =D

About to attempt rooting my Nexus 7. Seems pretty easy in comparison to all the manual slicing and dicing I had to do in Terminal with my Nexus One and Nexus S on the Mac. Wasn't going to modify thie tablet at all but I really want to use a PS3 controller for games and emulators, and the only way that is possible is via a system root.

What's keeping you? Had mine rooted under a month after I got it, and it's pretty much a full-fledged computer now. I'm still on stock ROM but once CM10 comes out I'll most likely migrate over there. ^_^

Wanted to try the Firefox syncing option so I installed Fire Fox mobile on my phone to see how it goes. I have really gotten used to Dolphin browser so it may take me a while to get efficient at it.

After a circuit went out in my house last night my phone didn't get a chance to charge and died overnight. Now it won't charge at all. I dread having a faulty mircousb port. I don't think this is the issue but I can't rule it out. I'd hate to think I would always need an external battery charger to charge my phone all the time.

I've never had my phone totally die on me before. I may need to use someone at uni with another i9000 to jumpstart my phone with their battery. Until then, back to my level headed seven year old Nokia 3200. I've only had the SGS for 18 months. It really isn't a testimony to quality in any regard.

But it hasn't displayed any signs of being faulty at any point during it's life. No rapid discharging or odd behaviour like that. Tried the charger on a few power outlets in the parts of the house were I still have working phases and the result is the same. It displays the battery picture for a few seconds then goes away. The phone is stone cold.

Got it connected to my laptop right now. Also the same result.

This is looking like it's time to dosh out a lot for a Galaxy Nexus.

Fortunately, a week ago, I did a full copy of all the content on the internal sd card to my computer. I can't confirm if my computer still works because lolkiamadownspowergrid. I'll only end up losing a few photos.
