How often do you use a land line?

With mobile phone deals these days you usually get a good call cap plan that "most" people don't even reach. I have something like 200 bucks work of calls a month that I barely use half of so when at home I always reach for my mobile even if I know I'm going to be on hold for hours.
I do have a land line phone which got installed because it saved me a heap of cash with my cable connection and it's good to have it there in case of an emergency. It rings occasionally but I can't even be bothered answering it :P
At work it's a different story I use the land line a lot, but still use my mobile if I'm away from my desk.

So you still use you land line phone at home?

i hardly use mine at all. only use it because it makes the internet cheaper and the occasional call from someone. for the rest i use my mobile

I do but not often.. That's why I changed my Telstra bundle.. Mum has lots of credit on her mobile so I usually ring her then hang up so she can call me back :P

I still have a landline, barely use it. I get so many free calls a month from my mobile so yeah...

Mostly when it rings it's telemarketers, so yep, never really bother picking it up.

That's the reason I don't pick it up, dam telemarketers! I figure if it's that important they will call my mobile.

Unplugged our phone at home. Only have the line because I can't get naked dsl. We use hard wired phones at work but they are provided over voip.

and that's the main reason people don't bother picking up land lines anymore. Thanks to arsehole telemarketers everyone now assumes the next phone call they get will be some stink rat trying to sell them something or try and scam them. Nice work greedy corporations, please go burn in hell.

I still have that same phone connected and haven't even touched it in months, I think it's time I just get it disconnected because all it is doing is wasting money really. There's 3 mobile phones here and the scenario where all 3 have gone dead seems unlikely.

Everyone calls on my mobile and 9/10 calls on the land line are foreigners trying to sell me holidays, the other 1/10 aren't for me.

Not needed.

I still use that number when people demand a landline number, but it won't be ringing :P

I use one at work to call clients and do inter-office calls, but I don't use the one at home unless someone calls. I'd prefer not to even have a landline, but I needed it for the internet here.
