Mobile Phones General Discussion

Surprised that this thread hasn't been created already. What phone, smart phone etc do you use and what are your thoughts on it?
I've been using a Nokia N97 for a while now and I've been very happy with it, especially since I upgraded from an iPhone 3G. I didn't mind the iPhone because it was a good entertainer but I really needed a phone that was a good phone and not just a media device that rings. The N97 is far from perfect but it keeps getting better as the firmware matures.

Wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole.

Interesting, but could possibly just lead to nothing.
If anything, I think it'll mostly be some kind of Steamworks implementation

I made a switch with my dad giving him my Galaxy s and i got an 3gs off my sister for free. And do i regret that, i though the software would have been much better but again wrong !
Apple got nothing on Android, pretty much even on stock but when rooted Android wins.
Android FTW
you give away your galaxy S for an iphone SGS and you deserve anything you get man [Facepalm]

He gave it to me in the first place because he wanted to keep using his e71 until it broke, he intended to buy another galaxy but i gave it back cause i felt bad.
Almost won a Blackberry Bold 9000. Beat me by $2.50. I am disappoint [Rage]

EDIT: I accidently won one. Yes, accidently (evil)
It's my birthday tomorrow and i'm thinking of getting a phone, Galaxy S in particular.

Virgin has a sweet deal going on atm, Big Cap $29 with $6 per month for the handset so altogether $35 per month.

I think it comes with 200mb data per month, would that be enough for me?
I usually go on facebook and stuff. Wouldn't really go on Youtube knowing i only have 200mb.
That should be fine but remember there are apps to download;) you got access to wireless internet that could come in real handy
Just saw another plan i might go with instead.

Virgin's Easy Cap 39. $300 Credit, 300mb Data, 3 Months Free Access. When you take away the $39 for the first 3 months you're paying just under $35 for the rest of the 21 months.

Which should i get? Compared to the Big Cap 29, you get less credit ($450/$300) and on the $450 credit any unused credit rolls on to the next month while on the $300 i think it resets.

But you get 100mb more data usage, and price stays about the same for the 24 months.
Decisions, decisions... =_=

*Edit*
Or maybe the $29 optus cap because it has free Facebook and stuff.
Might hang onto to my N97 for a bit longer now, I had a low memory issue with it that was driving me nuts. Turns out it was saving all my backgrounds to the phone memory and not the storage memory, also cleared out the browser history, cookies etc. No idea why there's 3 different areas for storage on this phone.
Im loving my Blackberry Bold 9000. Kinda disappointed that Virgin doesn't really support the phone very well at all. Can't connect to much :(

Wooo Virgin too. I have a Samsung S8500 *_*
I'm angry with Virgin at the moment, before for $20 I could get unlimited texts, $50 worth of calls and 1gb of Internet. Now all I can get is $50 txt ( 25c a text ). Not sure how many calls and 500mb of Internet. Much preferred the old one [Rage]
Got myself a Galaxy S guys. :D

Loving it so far. Now need to get a case and screen protector.

What do you guys rather, a glossy or matte screen protector?
What about just a regular clear one?
Can't imagine glossy would do wonders for viewing while outdoors.
I always get matte for outdoor viewing. As handsome as I am, I don't really like seeing my reflection on the screen when I am trying to do something. [MOG]
