Preferred Web Browser

Featured 26066 Views 563 Posts On the Internet
A bit of a generic question but my curiosity has gotten the better of me. So as the title suggest what web browser do you prefer to use? IE, FireFox, Safari, Google Chrome or Opera.

Personally I stick with FireFox because I like the feel of it and it hasn't given me any dramas since I started using it. On occasion I'll fire up IE to check some coded work because I've noticed IE to be more fussy with code errors.

Give FireFox4 Beta a shot it's lot like Chrome.
Installed on C i have...
Opera 10.61, FF 3.6.8, Minefield, Sea Monkey, Maxthon2, Safari, Chrome & IE is disabled. In order of favorite. Mozilla products at 2, 3 & 4, lol!
Installed on USB Opera 10.71 & Firefox 4.0. (both beta portable)

Opera is my default, & i only open FF these days if i want media from a page that i cant rip any other way.

I tried it but i cant get used to the "Open link in new tab" being the second down, im so used to it being on top.

I found out an awesome feature with Chrome, if you click on a link and keep the mouse button down and drag it to the top, it opens it in a new tab =D
Or just click on the link with the mouse wheel like a normal person would.

Middle mouse is probably my most used button! I tried to use a friends laptop but it felt medieval.

My laptop has no middle mouse button, nor is it possible to click down both to open a new tab
Still using Chrome, Firefox (3.68) Safari 5. I'm installing firefox 4 beta now, lets hope its good :)
I lol at you people who can actually notice a speed difference :P must suck!

Made the switch to Firefox. Is there any clue to when Firefox 4 will be released? I like the new look of it.

Rofl gtfo i've never seen a Firefox work perfectly with a new version :p
Looking forward to the FireFox4 to be a full release and to have all my favourite plugins to work.

same here.
chrome is really good but it feels somewhat laggy.
Just scrolling down webpages with pictures makes it go all framey, firefox on the other hand does not.

The biggest thing that I like of chrome over FF is the tabs on the very top of the window.
the new beta has the tabs at the top, but a gap and that gap is enough to be annoying.
Just used to being able to push the cursor all the way to the top and not having to aim properly was awesome.
I use Fire Fox ( latest build ) , safari , ie9 , ie6 ( for testing purposes only ) Chrome ( latest build )

As I am web developer I require to use many browsers for site testing etc ;)
Firefox FTW. IE9 looks pretty good, i might give it a go and see how it goes. im sick of FF crashing [Shifty]
