Safest free email service?

What's the best email provider out of Yahoo, hotmail, gmail etc? I've been using a hotmail account for a lot of things such as online game subscriptions, facebook and more and now I'm looking at setting up another account for things like that, plus I wanted a new email address with a more professional name because having "guyver" in my email address is not the best look when attached to a job resume :P
gmail I guess. my husband uses gmail :)

I'd say it's better to use ISP emails for more formal things like resumes. Otherwise would recommend Gmail, been using the same id since 2004 and never had any problems. Plenty of space and it filters out junk properly.

Or a domain email if you don't mind $10 a year to park the name (Godaddy gives 1 with each domain registration), worth it imo.

That's at the top of my list at the moment.
I checked my Hotmail email for the first time in a year or so. I had 10,425 unread emails (more that i've read from ages ago) and it deleted pretty quick ^_^
Get your own domain. or get a bigpond one, generally harder to hack (or they just dont get hacked as much).

yeah I have bigpond :)
You have bigpond internet guyver you should be able to set up like 5 email accounts.
I use gmail as my email address for work and other such personal things, Postal Monkey doesn't look very good on a resume either :P
I would use my Telstra email but I will be changing ISP as soon as my 400 year contract runs out with them. Plus I'd rather not use any ISP because I have a few accounts I can;t access because they are using my old Optus email, so no password retrieval :(

i got 3 hotmail, 1 gmail and 2 yahoo accounts, i actually had someone hack into my hotmail account and started sending off random stuff, after changing my "too simple" password its been safe, so i guess they all good.

There is nothing like safest [Shifty]. I have my first account of yahoo when I was 16.

Now a days I am using gmail for job purpose and for sending amount of database. That's it.

It is too heavy to manage lots of accounts, their passwords, security questions and so on. :E
Gmail by far.......... but this thread already died [Shifty]
I wouldn't get a gmail, its probably the easiest to use, but Google DOES scan all your emails for its own purposes such as advertising. A lot of people don't realise that... :*O
I made a gmail account when all my friends where using Hotmail [MOG]
(which was awhile ago)
