Graphic Card upgrade recommendations please!

Finally decided to upgrade my graphics card, currently using a factory OC GeForce 9800GT so yea it's about time :P

I'm after a card that won't break the bank, preferably from PC Casegear. Also, it would need to run on XP since I'm still trying to get my hands on Win 7 which I may be able to do for free and legally since I have a family friend who has a ton of legal licences he's not using for ultimate ed.

So the wishlist is, not breaking the bank, Win XP compatible whilst still DX11 supportive.

These are the cards I'm looking at currently so it gives you an idea of how much money I'm willing to spend, yay or nay?

I can easily wait and save for the goes like hell ed if you guys reckon it's worth the money for the extra power.

Feel free to recommend other cards, but I'm not willing to spend over $200.

pretty much, only a 3-4 FPS difference

That isn't a bad trade at all. Only $80. People still try to flog off 8800 and 9800s with less ram for that kind of dollars.

i didn't get that one .. had to get low profile D=.

I am really surprised it how good it is. I have more frame rate issues on any console game then compared to the non-existant(so far) issues of BC2.

Once again, buy what evers suited to your level of gaming

the last one of either of those cards i have purchased was my 8800 which i paid $35 for and i paid $40 posted for my 9800

Direct x 10 .. 512 mb .. it wont make any worthwhile difference as it wotn do well with current games

just buy the 570. you dont need a haf and ren is just being a poor sport trying to sell you both. 570 is brand new tech, so you can go boast to all your friend bout your L33T stae of the art pc

I wouldn't. I sold my 5870 and got a 570 :P I'd only go back to ATi if I was on a budget. Planning to get 2 so I want SLi scaling not Crossfire failing.

Pretty much, thing is it depends on the game and how well the game supports multi-cards. Some do it better, but the 5770 is powerful enough that most of the older stuff that doesn't scale as well is no issue with only one of them.
