Hard Drive Slow Speeds

3 Days ago I purchased a 2TB HDD, installed it and now my current Western Digital Cavier Green 2TB has slowed down dramatically, now before you start to accuse the greens of being slow, i know these aren't for performance and i am not using it for any performance what so ever, this HDD simply stores my Media files only. ever since I put in the new HDD in all file transfers and extracting has slowed down a hell of alot, I have tried almost everything, scanned for virus' done diskcheck, disck clean, defrag pulled it out then put it back in but no good, my other 2 HDDs are still runnig as normal which are also WG-CG 2TB, I'm just hoping it's not on it's way out, can anyone suggest anything which i may have missed, or can anyone recommend a good HDD software that.

Tried plugging it into another computer?
check both read and write speed.
Do a disk performance check, can't remember the name of the software though.

yea wanted to do a performance check all the software i Dled today were trials that don't do what they say or just plane old crap
