You've obviously never used a good laptop. The keys suck and I feel like I'm going to break a Toshiba every time I laptop. A good laptop? Sony VAIO.

Skarteh said: Build quality and failure rate are not exactly congruent factors! The internal components are made by other companies so their failure rate is only really linked to the manufacturer in terms of cooling, and if the cooling design was poor enough to contribute to the failure rate the variance in the stats would be way higher than what you just posted. A ~1% failure difference could be attributed to just luck or choice of components. For example if Sony laptops are higher end they may be sold with SSDs as a higher percentage than Toshiba who sell cheaper HDDs. SSD failure rate is much, much higher than HDD so that alone would raise their total failure rate. In other words those stats like nearly all stats are utterly useless. To suggest you can't argue with stats by it's self is preposterous, they can easily be used to strengthen an argument because you can just focus them on the points that benefit your argument and therefore they're useless.
