I haven't thought of a decent name for it yet

Well I finally got a donor case that I can chop up and make into something decent and here it is.

It's not the prettiest looking case that's for sure.

Even though it's fairly old it does look like it take a stadard ATX PSU and motherboard.

The deal was "if you want the case you have to take all the other computer crap that's next to it" ...

Space for a rear exhaust fan.

and a front one.

The front of the case will surly need some reshaping and it looks like it's from an era when floppy discs were all the rage

At first glance it's a big case (long wise) and looks like it will accommodate current day components. I'll have to completely strip it apart to see if I can do anything with it.
If all is well I want to add fans to the front and back, cut out a vent in the front of the case for better air flow, cover up the floppy drive hole, cut out a clear window on one side, black out the inside of the case, paint the exterior (not sure what colour though), the USP ports will have to be relocated, I have a spare LCD display that I can add.
That's all I can think of at this moment, more ideas will come to mind when I pull it apart

This case has been left on a veranda in the weather for some time so I'm assuming everything that's in the case is well and truly stuffed now.
I was thinking about matt blacking the whole case and leaving that plastic blue bit alone but I wouldn't mind doing something different.

What about my colour scheme from the other thread.....

All black, some parts Silver, even less parts Red... maybe some red LED's... i would help if i was nearby, i need to grab a case from somewhere, give it a go myself....

Or you could go old school and have it... All black, with lime green parts here and there, like old terminal... and like my blog

I don't want to spend much money on it so I'll most likely be buying second hand stuff and Ubuntu will save me buying a new OS.

Hmmmm pretty basic modding case. Looks like it has some decent components in it as well.

Not to much I can see to do with it on the functionality side of things:
Put a 120mm in the back, remove the HDD cage, 4in3 in the 5.25" bays, and a 120/140mm in the front.

Give it a good clean with metho and give it a sleek paint job.
