Having a dedicated PC fully decked out with racing sim gear would be epic, heavy duty steering wheel, pedals, gearbox, surround sound and multi-monitor display is what dreams are made of.
For the rest of us in the real world a nice steering wheel and pedal combo is enough to keep us happy, a step up from that would be a dedicated racing seat.

If you have any racing sim gear please share. Let us know what parts you would like or plan to get. Or even share deals you see on this sort of equipment.

Did you ever try those cockpits back when eGames was good? So amazing, but would have been even better with surround screens.

EB games have this Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel for 99 bucks. IS it complete crap or is good enough for that price? Wouldn't mind a wheel but not overly keen on spending 400 bucks for a Logitech unit. If it does the job then I'd probably go for it.

Was going to make a new thread but forgot I made this one a while back. Anyway I can constructively add to this because I bought a couple of peripherals to enhance my gaming experience when playing simulation games.

First off is the Logitech GT Driving Force steering wheel set I bought on the weekend. I've wanted a wheel for ages but never really wanted to spend the money so when I saw this wheel at EB on sale for a 109 bucks I snapped it up. It's no G27 but it does everything I want it to do and it does it well. Only thing it's missing is a proper gated manual shifter and a clutch pedal. Shifting gears like that would ensure I would come last everytime so sequential shifting with no clutch is fine by me. Hell I'm still getting used to driving from the in-car view.

Also bought a Logitech Attack 3 flight sim stick, something I thought I'd never buy but again it was cheap so why not. Flight sims is not something I was every really into but having this stick has gotten me motivated to play some more. Just need to learn how to setup the right buttons on the stick to play it properly. Still a hell of a lot more fun to use than trying with a keyboard.

For now having the wheel has made me fire up all my previously purchased racing games and have a crack, just a bit of a learning curve playing with a wheel instead of a controller. Slowly getting there though.

Anyone here have a property racing seat setup? I was thinking about getting a minimalistic version, something I can slip under my desk and pack away when mitt being used.

I have low profile cockpit with a G25 attached to it, and a G27 still in box. But it doesn't/can't hold a monitor on it, just plugs into a separate tv/monitor.
Nothing like Stublu's awesome cockpit, especially if he grows 3 monitor's onto it [Derp]

Sounds like you Gabe what I want, something that doesn't have a screen mount in it.
