If serious, this is probably true, they probably get the stock before the actual release/street date, if I had to say why it's probably to avoid issues with delay on the actual launch date.

Of course they get it before the actual release date....they can't be waiting for copies to arrive on release date and then put them out on shelves etc.

That's why I always ring around K-Mart and places like that if I want to get a game early - they usually aren't told about hte street date and have no idea what I'm talking baout. They look in the drawer, see that the game is "in stock" and then I just ask them to hold a copy aside for me.

K-Mart, Target and Harvey Norman are usually my go to spots for street date breakage ;)

I'm at MMGN HQ - we can't play games while working @Desi but I've played the 360 version. It's tasty, I can't wait to get it on PC tonight :D

I don't think bringing up pay of MMGN staff is appropriate :P I see a few do it. It's not very comfortable for us to discuss that. Our role is about 10% content, 90% stuff you don't see on here.

But believe me, I wish we were given more of a capacity to play games for longer. Unfortunately, we don't have 100 staff like IGN.

I am craving to go home and play Dead Island though. So addictive :D

After playing the game for just over a hour now id have to say thi game is gonna be awesome, as far as people saying the cut scenes are crap i think they are pretty good, of course they are no killzone or infamous, the game play is really fun u just wanna keep smashing the zombies face time after time. And finally the visuals are really good better than i thought they would be esp after reading other peoples comments. The 360 version is a lot brighter but seems to have screen tear when you turn from side to side while the ps3 is smoother but has like a film over it so it is not as bright. All in all its a killer game.
