I don't know about this game. I like it and I'm enjoying it, but it is really lacking something special that keeps you continously interested in the game. I am going to say it is probably the lack of story that isn't holding my interest, but it could also be the very similar missions.

I'll try and finish the game before BF3, but I could see myself doing it very slowly and eventually forgetting about it. It is definitely no Fallout 3.

I'm the opposite - Fallout 3 was painstakingly boring for me and I could never get into it. I've started the game on three different occasions on three different platforms and I never get into the immersion.

Dead Island on the other hand has me hooked to a point where I seem to be flittering 3-5 hours a night with the co-op team we have going and loving every second. I haven't had this much fun since Borderlands.

lol yep. I started playing bad company 2 a while back (after vietnam was released). It was soo much better than when I played it on PS3. Combine that with my recent upgrade to triple monitors (wish I didn't cheap out on the monitors though....) and it looks amazing.

I still do lik being able to sit on the lounge/lay in bed and play PS3 though.

For some reason I spent so much time playing Fallout 3 I loved it at the time. I played a tonne of it one christmas. The large universe and the insane carnage was nuts, and I'm a sucker for post apocalypse. But then I got Fallout New Vegas, and started playing it, and realised - "I've already played this, and it is a XXXXing lot of work" and stopped. I think the problem was it was TOO BIG.

Dead Rising 2 on the other hand. I feel that game was an utter wasted opportunity at a fun game. It was so farking RUSHED. I had no time to experiment with the cool weapons and causing carnage as I always had a frigging god damn annoying idiot arbitrary timeline I had to run to, making it barely possible to even clear the missions in time, even to the point of just frigging running everywhere trying to make stuff in time and get back for stupid injections and whatnot. It didn't give me a chance to breath and smell the roses. I hated it so much for the "rushed-ness". It was like the other end of the scale to Fallout 3.

Dead Island, as a 30 or so hour game, and sounds perfect to me.

I agree about Fallout: New Vegas, it was 3 years too soon. I am still working my way through Fallout 3, every 6 months I get sucked in and add another 20 hours to my play-count. I was not ready for New Vegas and I am still not, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't start really playing it for another year.

Lol I saved at the church one time and ended up in the slums next time I loaded. Only took me 15 minutes of hacking zombies to pieces to get back.

Oh what the, I'm playing through as Purna, atm and one of the achievements is the collectables one right? the collectable I collect on my new char are stacking ontop of the ones I got with logan, [Facepalm] Oh well free EXP for me and easy achievement~! =D
