Needs a franchise mode where you dont have to race but you get to create a team from scratch and than you can sign drivers, develop young drivers, sponsors etc.

You this like it that much? :O

I really enjoy the F1 games I think they're by far the best 'real' racing game out there.

That would be heaps good it's surprising they haven't tried something like that yet, hopefully they do in the future.

Despite their flaws I've enjoyed Codemasters F1 games so far. I'll be picking this up and hoping for the best.

*Edit* Been playing the demo today and boy am I struggling @_@ The overall speed of the game feels toned down and less arcadey. The cars have a real sense of weight to them, trying to brake late into the corners sees me under steering straight off the track. Will take a while to get used to the new handling model but I like it. Oh, and the young driver test seems like it will be boring based on the demo.

F1 2012 feels really good, I like the fact that the car feels like it has weight to it, and the DRS and KERS are really good for stratergy and everything, but I really wish they went back to F1 2010 graphic's.
I prefer them over 2011 and 2012.

Well after playing the demo and thinking it's better than the previous 2 I still wasn't going to buy it, but a friend just gifted me a copy on Steam... So I guess I will be playing this years after all...

After I said how much I disliked 10 and 11, I fired up 11 the other night and was hooked for hours, they must have fixed some stuff in one of the patches.

I feel that the graphics in '10 were better, '11 and '12 don't look like they have that edge. '12 feels the best in my view, with momentum in cars but '10 was solid and '11 wasn't half bad either.

Was reading on the Codemasters forums today. Seems that after feedback about the cars understeering in early playtesting they made some changes to the handling. These changes were made after demo was complete, so the handling in the demo is not representative of the final game. I actually really liked how the cars handled in the demo, it seemed more realistic. Will have to wait and see how it all turns out in the full game.

From what I read, there was way too much understeer in the demo for an F1 car.

I didn't feel much oversteer :S
What set-ups do you use? I have a custom set-up that I've had where I have a little bit of oversteer but very high top end speed and very good acceleration.

I use a different set-up for almost every track.
But for Monza, it's low downforce, high speed but with good grip to the track. In other words, oversteer.

Eeehhh, set-ups you make yourself feel so much better...
Even though they take about an hour per track to perfect.
But i like my car with somewhere from 40 - 75% oversteer.
