Pilkingbod said: Everyone hates Milne, though.

Yeah, but Collingwood supporters? Really?

1. Belted Nathan Jones' dad
2. Shaw lied to police, the club
3. Alan Didak rides with crime figures, involved in shooting
4. Players accused of sexual assault (same capacity than Milne)
5. Heath Shaw gambling
Every club has trouble makers who do stupid things. Higher profile players cop it more than other people. Doesn't excuse them its just stupid.

I agree with you though Beta. Look at the recent history of those incidents and you can see how dumb some supporters can be.
Havent been to a football game my whole life where there has been a perfect crowd and there never will be from either side of supporters

Eddie would hate you!

Collingwood are the AFL angels geez thought you knew that.
Don't get me started on Eddie. I love him, but there is clearly a massive conflict of interest in him having the capacity and platform to discuss matters relating to other teams. Brayshaw has his own outlet, but how often does he provide commentary directly on other team's matters? Kennett and Eddie are serial offenders, Eddie more so because he has a prime platform to showcase his opinion. As a President of a football club he is using his outlet to lay down his opinions on other clubs, all the while side stepping any issues that may arise about his own club. It's bordering propaganda.

But hey, I go for Melbourne, so who am I to talk? The club has been burying its off-field issues for 50 years. Still is.
So how about dem Tigers :P

Was party time at my house yesterday. Love a good victory against the Swans!

After six straight loses though...

Richmond will flog Melbourne this week. Absolutely flog them.

Nothing is certain. I thought Melbourne played really well yesterday. If they had of kicked straight early they could have been a lot closer and maybe won. They definitely had control of the ball for most of the game. I'll probably be tipping the Dees this week.

Correction: it wasn't even loads of money. :P

Buuut, I don't mind Richmond, so my anger is rather mild.

If you support either Fremantle or North Melbourne, you should be quite happy :P

Eh... Maybe I am watching different games? People said the same thing against Carlton. But I mean, are people subconsciously comparing it to the Geelong game? Because both the Carlton and Eagles games were lost via 30 minutes of absolutely insipid football, both times in the 2nd quarter.

But holy crap every week we seem to blood new youngsters. Sam Bleese was awesome yesterday in just his second game.

We're a lot further off than people think. We are at least 12 months behind where people thought we'd be. We are no where near a finals side. No where near. Finals in 2012 for Melbourne is no certainty. I just hope we sign an experienced coached with premiership success. No more friggin excuses anymore.
Well yesterday if West Coast hadn't of had that massive 2nd quarter, than Melbourne were in the hunt. The Dees should have kicked better in the first and third, in actually fact they should of kicked more than 5 goals in the third... I am talking 8+ goals. They dominated that quarter.

It is just their skills and defensive pressure that let them down. In third when they were dominating, once Eagles got the ball into their 50 they were kicking goals. Completely destroyed all the hard-work the Dees had done.

And the first qtr, geez the Dees kicking was awful. So many missed chances to get a massive lead so early in the game. Completely butchered the ball ever time they got it.

If I was a Dees supporter I'd be happy with the consistant effort the last 2 weeks, cause really you've only lost because of 2 awful quarters. A summer of working on their skills and structures and they should be a finals side next year.

Just my thoughts :)
Third quarter was a massive missed opportunity. So frustrating. 4 goals in the first 11 minutes, but the Eagles also got 3 goals in that time, all 3 caused by very inexperienced, and sometimes unacceptable mistakes across half-back and the centerline.

I am not happy because it's just simply not good enough anymore. I know Richmond has been "rebuilding" for a while, but we down and out tanked and went through absolute hell for 5 years, have had our friggin' cancer-ridden president save the club from death. Time to perform.
Fair enough, you do have the talent and you don't have many injuries, so I guess there is no excuse.

I'm pretty accepting of the Tiges at the moment. We've had some bad injuries this year that have tore our defense apart. It is pretty average to start with but even worse when we have injuries. I think we would of had a better year had Batchlor, Grimes, Moore and co. been able to play the whole season.

I hate how Tigers think they need to trade for a ruckman. Graham is a good ruckman, he is just a little undisciplined. Browne is also quite good and I don't think they give Vickers enough time there either. I'd rather they traded for some defenders or another forward.
Richmond and Melbourne's problem is losing culture. They both have it. It stinks like smelly feet.

Ours is a 9th culture.

Round 22, 1998
I hate you -_-

Scary thought. We have almost 50,000 members this year and we are going to finish between 12th and 14th... imagine if we were a top 8 or top 4 side *mind explosion*

Richmond have always had a very strong following. Most teams with a presence in a working-class area do. Once Richmond get going, Collingflog will look like Melbourne in comparison.

Membership numbers don't meant that much. Even Port apparently has 36,000 members [WTF]

are you SERIOUS?!?!?! graham and browne are NOT good ruckmen. Graham hasnt beaten a single opposition ruckmen (secondary ruckmen included) this season. hes also very slow and not as good as he should be overhead. Browne gives his all which is great but he is extremely slow and a turnover machine. Vickery is going to be a gem but he is of much better use as a tall forward

also, the afl website has an article securing kane cornes' future but im seeing a few articles claiming that he has been sacked. anyone have some clarity on this?
Kane Cornes thing was a Caro lie.

Wouldn't be surprised if they tried to trade him though. Rubbish now that he's never played as a tagger (even though tagging is out of the game compared to his prime he never does it for unknown reasons).

No big surprise.
