Boy urinates on $36,000 worth of Macbooks

An 11-year-old US boy destroyed $36,000 worth of MacBook computers at his school by urinating on them, according to police.

The student reportedly urinated on a cart carrying numerous Apple laptops in a hallway at Upper Allen Elementary School in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

According to a statement released by the Upper Allen Police department, the cart and computers were "damaged beyond repair".

The statement said the cost of the damage was over $36,000.

John Browlee, a writer for Apple news and review site Cult of Mac, said the boy's act likely voided the warranty on all of the computers in the cart.

"The reason it’s likely being calculated as a full loss is because Apple won’t service the MacBooks," he said.

"Once urine is on a MacBook — whether animal or human — Apple considers it a biohazard.

The boy was charged with institutional vandalism and criminal mischief, according to MSNBC.

His case has been forwarded to the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.

Obviously this kid is no fan of Apple. :P
I would have beat the little menace.

Who even does these things?

Actually Guyver might do something like this, he hates Apple enough.

lol not give him ideas :P
Guess he doesn't like Mac.
I know where this all might end up, his parents having to borrow $36,000+ against their house to buy replacement macbooks for the school, an indefinate suspension placed on the kid by the school until all macbooks are replaced and also be indefinately grounded by his parents or sentenced to a 1-6 months stay in the nearest juvenile detention centre.

But, that's just my opinion based on reading the news article.
........... how you like dem Apples?

Apparently not much, and covered in urine.

John Browlee, a writer for Apple news and review site Cult of Mac, said the boy's act likely voided the warranty on all of the computers in the cart.

i would think that would void the warranty. what a retard to just urinate on them all.
I'm very conflicted here, on one hand you have a feral child who's parents are probably cousins just urinating anywhere like a beast. Then on the other hard Apple products got what they deserved! =D

... [Shifty] :P
As MrMoo said, I feel sorry for the Parents who have to front up with the cash to replace them. That kid will be grounded until he's 40.

What's the big deal? He was only trying to upgrade them. [MOG]

...*like*...
How big was this kids bladder? :S
And I was going to say he had to much apple juice but that joke was already taken :'@
I just did research on how many Macbooks would needed to replace the destroyed ones, is as follows:

36 11" Macbook Airs @ USD $999 each (bare bones models are the ones schools most likely get, and excluding the cost of optional upgrades)

or

22 or 23 13" Macbook Airs @ USD $1599 each (Again excluding the optional upgrades)

That means his parents, like what @iSR said, will probably ground him for the next 29 years after they see amounts I've mentioned above.

Forget grounding the kid just send him off to military school, give him a real reason to piss him self.
$36000 lol like they have to get more piece of shit apple computers? they would have broke down in a year or 2 anyway and needed full replacing.

That is a really bad investment on the school's part when you put it that way. Schools only have limited funds.
