Hello all. I have noticed a few people asking various questions about EB and JB over the years. I'm sure you all have a question or two that you'd probably like answered, so maybe I can shed a little light?

I used to work for EB games and I am currently Employed at JB (as a games consultant). I am happy to answer your questions (if I am allowed to, that is), so if you'd like to know something, now is the time to ask.

@Snix are JB staff meant to offer assistance to people?

I personally hate it when retail workers come and try and help you - I'll ask if I need it. JB seem to be the only store that also think like this, which is good in my books, but is this actually a policy or is my local store just lazy?

@ren it's been known to happen from time to time. It happened more to people are involved with the necronomicon.

@ben EB are really anal about attending to customers as soon as they walk on. JB aren't so uptight about it. Personally, I just try to say hello to everyone in my area, that way they know I'm there I they need to ask something.

Whats with all the JB hate people have? You can go to every other shop if you dont like the people there. JB is the only shop that i dont get bad looks for wearing the things i wear :P

are you south of frankston? my relatives live in mornington and hastings. when im there we have to go to frankston to JB aswell -_-

I read that as pms. I have problems.

Also whats the deal with the cds.. some JBs seem to be better with CDs than others.

I live past mornington that's why I have to go to my local eb..but prefer jb.. soooo much better :)..

when jb has their 2 for $30 sale or whatever on dvds and blurays they put them all in the buckets in the middle of the store. i have no problem with this but they always just chuck them in so u cant find what u want. it would be better if they were lined up with the spines facing up cos u could fit more in and you would sell more. ive also seen staff jumble them up after people have arranged them neatly.

i guess the idea is to avoid selling too many at the cheap price.

is this what you are told to do @snix?

no it doesnt. im not talking about putting them in alphabetical order or any order at all. just all with the spine facing up. they get them off the shelf or out of boxes anyway so u simply put them in the bucket like that. if i was running a store thats how i would want it done
