But so in depth about shaving?

All I do pull out the old cutthroat every 2-3 days after I shower, I dont use cream or soap or a any of that... Its a chore to me not really something to get exited about like you guys are

I'm also thinking about the cream and moisturizer I need for the new razor.

I found I've discovered news ways to shave and perhaps an even better way (for myself) once I do try it. It's the same thing for almost anything these days. Why have a Car Thread....most people would just think, ah yeah it takes you from point A to B in auto or manual and not think about engines, oils, turbos, etc. There's so much crap I don't know about PC Case/Towers I was bewildered as to why there was a thread on it due to my lack of knowledge. To me, you have one to keep all the components inside and that's basically it, but I now know there's so much more crap to know about :P

Well the cream i started off with and still use is Proraso shaving cream

and for moisturizer+after shave you cant go wrong with nivea for men soothing balm

but what safety razor did you have in mind (getting off ebay?)

I'm looking at the beginner razor; Merkur HD 34C....what oes the 34C mean? Sounds like a bra size!! @_@

Hmm maybe desi will know better but i just thought 34C or 38c were just model numbers really

The reason merkur would be more expensive is just because of the name really.
Everyone knows merkur makes fine safety razors. The HD has a small handle and it's helpful because of the weight distribution. the head of the razor just falls on your face and thats all the pressure you need

haha there was this story on some forum
how this guy had a return trip and he was carrying safety razors and blades and 1 way he managed to sneak it in but on his return trip they confiscated it :D

I don't really have a 'budget'. I can afford a fair bit, the actual issue is willingness in spending a lot of money on a razor.

I'd probably spend up to 50 bucks on a razor.

Recommend away.

Ok if you dont mind getting it off ebay + international seller

That is within 50 and that is one of the best beginner razors
In australia it costs 60

And another ebay international is

cgi.ebay.com.au/... that for $34 and that is also a good razor but is maybe a bit more aggressive than the HD

youll get better value getting it from overseas (rip off over here)

but if youre not keen on buying it overseas maybe have a feel of the one you linked me to.. it's an unnamed razor so i cant say much about it

the bigger issue there for me is that they're used.

something about that just feels....weird but i guess you would be changing blades lol

the seller recommends its not for beginners though.

i dont mind nicking myself though, i've done it before and im not one to feel such minor injuries [MOG]
