The Doctor Thread

Ok let's play doctors =D

But seriously, who goes to a doctor these days? People tend to just Google their symptoms and incorrectly self diagnose, so we might as well do that in the MMGN forum.

I'll start -- my right eye is twitching today. WTF is up with that? Is it related to the cleaning products I may or may not have got in it yesterday? (Not actually sure, it was close, but may have just missed the eye).

What should I do about this home remedy style? K go [MOG]

Don't be silly it's lupus for sure! The Doctor Thread
Good news, it went away. I'm gonna wear safety goggles whenever handling anything now.

I'm ultra paranoid when it comes to symptoms, to the point where there's not a part of my body the doctor hasn't seen... and it's always turned out to be nothing.

That's better than the ignore everything system I use.

I had my first ever check up (aide from being a little kid) this year. Turns out, I'm not dying.
Usually I like to prescribe the following when someone tells me they are sick;

 • Have a full cup of harden the **** up
 • Walk it off
 • Some beer should fix that
 • You still breathing? yes? You'll be fine then.

Bad news, were all dying
You don't know awkward until you've had your testicles scanned via ultrasound.

Now imagine you had to do that several times a day as a job. Imagine the conversations! :*O

I don't want that.

By the time I'm 40 they better have come up with a better way for the prostate exam [Rage]
I went to the doctor this year for the first time in 6 years. Takes a lot of convincing from other people before I go.
I'm not one to run off to the doctor every time I sneeze.

wat do?
I spent heaps of time with doctors this year so far, none of them seem to know what they are doing. Why can't a find a good, competent doctor who will take care of me?

I had a pretty good doctor in Adelaide from the twice I saw him in my life :P

CBF arranging a new one until I'm desperate.

I've had that. Was pretty awkward. It's funny they look exactly as you'd expect they would

must have taken a knock to the leg and it caused that to happen

but it could of been a tibia fracture so I had to get xrays and ultrasound
Well, it's like I learned from Derren Brown yesterday, pain is subjective.

Having trouble sleeping when you have the Flu? nothing beets the mixture of night time cold and flu tablets washed down with lots of Bourbon, It will put you to sleep like a baby, I can't guarantee you'll wake up though but the odds are fairly good.
Ah, the perfect thread for me right now!

Incident: falling over and landing on my ribs when playing touch footy 3 days ago.

Symptoms: Hurts to laugh, breathe heavily, or tense stomach muscles.

Possible diagnosis: cracked/broken rib, or just severe bruising.

Help? [MOG]

(Each day the pain got noticeably better, until today it was mostly gone, but after kicking a ball around its pretty painful again)

I was surprised when I tried this and it worked. [WTF]

Don't ever doubt my advice involving alcohol. Extensive research has been done.
No wonder you're never sick. [MOG]
