Mass Effect Marathon

I'm not sure how many other people are in the same boat as me or something similar. Basically I started my Mass Effect experience with part 2 and I've only recently purchased part 1 which I'm still meaning to play though. So for me the game still feels like there's holes in it, maybe others that have played all 3 games might not be happy with one of the game saves they have imported.

So with the latest game finished and many people not that happy with the ending is anyone else keen on playing though the entire series again from start to finish to attempt to get perfect endings, have all dialog options open, see more cut scenes etc?

When I get the chance I want to get though the first game, play though the second with a ME1 imported file then tackle part 3 with the DLC (I bought the DLC towards the end of the game so apparently I missed a lot of dialog with the Prothian).
Still chipping away at part one [Facepalm] It is nice filling in a lot of holes I had in the story though. It does seem you spend a lot more time exploring in this game than you do with the others, driving around it that Mako thing takes time, well a hell of a lot more time than shooting a probe at a planet. Hopefully I'll be able to move onto the second game next weekend. I know the drill with that game so I should be able to rip through that one. This time I wont let anyone die, lost Kelly last time but still kept all the main characters.
Finally finished part one, importing that file to part 2 now and. Getting though the second one should be as hard since I know what to do this time.

Phew! Well I finally completed the Mass Effect Marathon. Played basically nothing except ME1/2/3 for this entire month. Very worth it!

That's a good effort man.

Last night I started on ME2 and decided to get the Shadow broker DLC as well. Looking forward to checking that, since I imported my ME1 file this time it brought over all the minerals I mined.
Shadow Broker has the coolest skybox I've ever seen in a game [Derp]

sweet.
Also I had a relationship with Liara and I heard the only way to see more of it in ME2 is in that DLC.
Making a decent dent in ME2 now and now I'm really glad that I finished ME1 now. I'm surprised at how much changed when compared to starting a new ME2 file.
Started playing ME1 for the first time last night, but I was dead tired and had no idea what was going on, so I'm gonna have to restart... [Rage]

You'll spend most of the game in an elevator :P

Right note i'm about half way through part 2 with an imported part 1 file. Even though I've played through me2 a couple of times before this time round it's a much better experience. So many things from part 1 keep popping up, like a message from the arachnid queen telling me she'd help when war comes.
Still working on achievements, got Garrus, Wrex, Liara and Tali as well as some biotic and tech achievements left. I'm also counting the DLC achievements for a total of 1,200GS when I'm done. Then I'm gonna move onto ME2 and do the same thing before I get ME3. Then I'm gonna be really sick of Mass Effect for a looooong time I reckon, but it will be worth it

I've pretty much been playing nothing but Mass Effect games for the past couple of months, surprisingly I'm not sick of it yet. I never really bothered with achievements with any of the games but there's a couple I missed in ME2 that I am trying to get during this play through.

Just had a really silly idea, imagine someone filmed a play though of all 3 games. IT would be like an epic movie....with a bad ending :P
So far I have managed a 100% complete, level 60 paragon character in Mass Effect in 30 hours and completed everything in Mass Effect 2 including dlc, scanning planets etc bar finishing the last mission in 50 hours plus I've got all the achievements bar one in ME2 so I'm nearly ready to play 3 at last =D

That's a fair effort. Kinda wish I explored more in part 1 but I rushed through it a bit and mainly focused on the main missions. Did a few side ones but left a lot as well.
ME1 is the definition of tedious. They improved the game so much by ME2.

Yeah that's what made me rush on, searching planets in that Mako was sooo time consuming. Controlling that thing was a nightmare as well [Rage]
Almost there with this marathon, it has taken me a very long time though. Mainly due to work getting in the way :P Also this time when playing though ME2 I've taken my time and scanned every planet and played every single side mission that I could find.

Is that all the model ships available in ME2?
Starting on ME3 this time I didn't blow up the Collectors base, heard it gives you slightly more war assets.. Not that it matters the ending will be the same regardless. As I'm playing though all 3 games I kinda don;t want it to end because I know there's not much to look forward to, well at least I'm enjoying the actual game and I guess that's what counts the most.
I've just started over but on PC this time :P

Damn does the first title look like hell on 360 and run like a pig, it looks real nice maxed out on PC [Derp]

I got into ME3 on 360 but found it to be quite dark and I couldn't help but imagine how much better it would look on PC.

Plus I've learnt a few more things like having to be a colonist/war hero for 100% paragon in ME and not returning the body to Bhatia but keeping the paragon and not scanning all the keepers and again earning paragon.

You'd think I'd know everything there is considering this is my 21st play through [WTF]
Pretty much done what I wanted to do, Got through part 1, finished part 2 last week and I went though that game with a fine tooth comb. Pretty sure I didn't miss a thing. Now I'm at the end of part 3 Just about to attack the Illusive Man's place but I've decided to leave it there for now and hit the online mode for a while and get 100 percent everywhere before I finish the game and get disappointing by the ending again.
Taken you a month to get through all three games. Fair effort.
I've been using the Datapad app on iphone to get my galactic readiness to 100%. Takes longer, but that's okay. I'll be there in 1 hour and 6 minutes, and then I'll finish ME3 again tonight.

Thanks, actually I'm very surprised I got though it this quick. Usually it takes 3 times as long for me to finish just the one game. The first game is the one that took me the longest because I was not familiar with it and in that game you spend a good 2 hours just riding around in an elevator, so very grateful that they took that out of the later game.
Out of all 3 games I have to say I enjoyed playing though the second game the most and that's the one I've played the most as well. Better story and characters in that game.
Didn't mind playing through the third game again as well, pretty much used the Prothien for every mission to see what he'd spit out, I've noticed it's also good to have EDI on missions as well since she says anything she's "processing".

Now I'll focus efforts on the online game, I really want to unlock some of the characters and weapons available.
Took me 2 weeks to do each game twice. Nub.

:P

That sounds like a job.
