Got a faulty ps3 with a 40 gig hard drive i want to get rid of. It has the YLOD problem. Ive opened it up and tried to fix it by re applying heat compouned but no joy.

you know you have to reflow the solder before you apply the new compound right?

if you didnt attempt a reflow im interested in it, how much you looking for?

Didn't reflow the solder. Just went out and bought some compound and re-applied it.

Not sure what they are worth, jumped on ebay and had a look at those ones. Maybe 100 or so. Or what do you think?
