So I have heard that tonight or tomorrow, DICE is going to announce some news regarding BF3.

And I have also heard that this news will be about cross-platform gaming. Note that I didn't say multi-platform, I said cross-platform. :D

If they go ahead with this, it will be quite interesting. I haven't heard much of cross-platform initiatives since Microsoft called off their experiment after they found that mediocre PC gamers smashed great console gamers thanks to the advantages of keyboard and mouse.

If this does go ahead, though, then the push for first-party keyboard and mouse control on consoles will be very strong indeed, and consoles will come that much closer to becoming little PCs. ^_^

One thing that stops me playing mods is it disables ranking. Takes so long to rank up in BF that I want all the XP I can get. I'd love mods but in reality may not play them. Something like Project Reality would probably sway me tho

Now that I've unlocked everything for BC2 I'm no longer that interested in playing pubs. If you're not working towards a goal, it's only fun when you're playing with friends.

But seriously, I want some good mods. Maybe one that fixes the performance issues? Like a patch that Treyarch should have made, at release.

That's probably why they're releasing mod tools: "We can't be effed fixing the myriad problems with PC, but if we supply mod tools, the community will do it for us! For FREE!"

Well it's hard to say. But from what we know:

• Four classes
• Probably no mod tools
• No Commander role

If I had to guess, I'd say it will be Bad Company 2 with planes, prone, bigger maps, and 64 players.

And if the modders come up with a sweet gamemode/mod Activision will steal the idea and charge for it, aka DLC.

Yeah Gun Game is awesome, in CS.

It really lacks the definition in BLOPS, it needs more players, 6 isn't enough.

My friends can't comprehend the Battlefield games. They think Bad Company is apart of the main series, and they don't know what a spin-off is. This'll probably be one of the few Console/PC games that I'll buy for PC.

Regarding my ignorance with specs, it won't require that much to run it? My PC runs any Valve game flawlessly and BioShock was dominated.
