This game is nearing release and I keep seeing trailers that make me BADLY want it! The multi-player looks much much better than BF2 both infantry combat (pet peeve with BF2) and vehicular combat.

Heres the latest video:

Looks very intense and I cannot get over how much better the infantry combat looks. I always thought that if BF2 had CSS style infantry combat it would have been unbelievably good, now it looks to have very Modern Warfare like combat I think that could be right on the money.

Very pumped for this game, I'm hoping lots of us get it! Would be an awesome games night game

Might be limited by the amount of people that can run it though...

new games are so bloody big it takes aaaaages! Can almost download them as fast as you can install them lol

But yeah Steam rocks, today I'm formatting my rig and clean installing and because of Steam will have access to over 100 games with in minutes of first boot

I click view preload and nothing happens... might revert to non beta see if that works.

EDIT: Ahhh restarting Steam. Solves ALL PROBLEMS

preloading now

going awful slow but picking up constantly. Up to 114kbps and still rising its just gone on a constant slope since starting. Hopefully it will sit on 1.1mbps so it might be done before lunchtime..

EDIT: Arsing hell it doesn't seem to want to exceed 200kbps so I'm guessing its hosted in America

Starting it at 12 coz thats when my off peak downloads start. Rather than eating into my 12g I'm eating into 24g.

Anyway game files are unlocking now

its not as suck-in as COD, plays differently. Characters are a million times better and whoever said MW2 looks better needs to lay off the crack, some of these jungle sections look like Crysis without the epic lighting! Overall I'd say its at least up to the quality of Far Cry 2 so it leaves MW2/COD4 for dead graphically. And weirdly it easily runs maxed for me now :s BETA wouldn't go higher than Medium... maybe its just MP?

Haven't finished it yet, taking a break

don't know how many missions there are but I've done 5. Chopper Pilot is awesome XD

86%, downloading at 150kbps and the bandwidth monitor is saying I have downloaded 15gb so far.
even my usage meter is saying waaaay over 6gb (more like 12gb so far)
