This game is nearing release and I keep seeing trailers that make me BADLY want it! The multi-player looks much much better than BF2 both infantry combat (pet peeve with BF2) and vehicular combat.

Heres the latest video:

Looks very intense and I cannot get over how much better the infantry combat looks. I always thought that if BF2 had CSS style infantry combat it would have been unbelievably good, now it looks to have very Modern Warfare like combat I think that could be right on the money.

Very pumped for this game, I'm hoping lots of us get it! Would be an awesome games night game

Might be limited by the amount of people that can run it though...

i've seen plenty of 3fl servers and a few game arena. The server browser is just fail at the moment.

Skart managed to save a few 3fl servers to favourites so maybe he can pass around the file that holds the server info?

Hmmm yes perhaps, I found about for aus servers just by typing Aus in the search bar... Game Arena and Hypernia never returned any results

You have to do a "full refresh" of the server list, then click server name, then scroll down till you find gamearena or 3fl. Theres plenty of servers.

Just click Ping and it will arrange from lowest to highest.

I hope they fix this server browser, you can't individually refresh servers, and by the time you refresh its old info.

not to mention steam price is the exact same price as instore.
im probably going to go down and buy it from big W. There online store says $78.75 for the PC limited edition but ill have to call them up and see. Have to check kmart and see what price they have it for aswell.

Or i might get eb to price match it

cus i can take it back after 7days if i dont want it or change my mind or something

I got it at JB Hifi for $85 (limited edition) including gst lol.

But $80 was covered by vouchers, so a $5 game is always good.

When PB isn't annoying the **** out of you, you lose connection to the servers, when thats not happening you can't connect to any server....

Uh dude MW2 has no servers at all :/ we could join American servers ans it would be what you get in MW2.

We had trouble tonight all the 3FL servers buggered off and GameArena were all full so it took some creative server searching to find other ones but we got there in the end

once 3FL comes back life will be easier. That or they add a region filter but BF2 never had one so I doubt it. Need someone to post a listof favs to save to my GameSetting file that was the easiest way by far.

I'm not sure that i'm sold on the single player.
It does the cardinal sin of, if my squad is standing around, maybe half behind cover, sometimes just standing in the open, and I am 99% behind cover (just my little toe or some extremity is sticking out) and I'm the one that gets shot and killed. Why do bullets/nades/rockets never go towards my squad? just me?

Yeh, i found single player campaign pretty much "single" player campaign.

My squad didn't take out many enemies, although the 2nd mission where you get to unload on the patrol right at the start, they did a good job of stealing my kills there!

But yeh, just treat it like you are on your own and it will be more fun

I just got the game yesterday and so far am loving it.
The WWII intro was really cool. The fact that you unlocks from the beta didn't carry over made me a sad panda though
