This game is nearing release and I keep seeing trailers that make me BADLY want it! The multi-player looks much much better than BF2 both infantry combat (pet peeve with BF2) and vehicular combat.

Looks very intense and I cannot get over how much better the infantry combat looks. I always thought that if BF2 had CSS style infantry combat it would have been unbelievably good, now it looks to have very Modern Warfare like combat I think that could be right on the money.

Very pumped for this game, I'm hoping lots of us get it! Would be an awesome games night game

Might be limited by the amount of people that can run it though...

Yeah they improved the sensitivity immeasurably but I'm not referring to that its the response. Like how L4D2 feels a bit slower than L4D1. How Borderlands feels period.... as I said it feels like you are moving the gun through water, just sort of...heavy.

Having some wicked games of this now

got 3 unlocks in one round rawr! Was absolutely tearing ass as the tank machine gunner we survived for a ridiculous amount of time and racked up heeeaaaps of kills

I finally got to drive the Tank and that Light Tank/AA lookin thing. I found it incredibly slow using the main turret on the tank so hopefully theres independent sensitivity for that like in BF2. At present though going in the machine gunner seat is getting me way more kills than the main gun.

Lol when they did the first patch where they tweeked the sensitivity largely my bar was on max so when i moved my mouse aiming was crazy. So now i have it on 50. Feels alright there.

Played killzone 2 on ps3? It's alot worse.. Every weapon feels weighted, 40kg pistol.... tyvm.

Pulled off an awesome long distance shot with the sniper.. was so proud of myself.. if only it wasnt a fluke lol. Tank machine gunner is definately the best, just mow the bastards down.. good fun.

Yeah tank Machine gunner is sooo fun lol Doyl and me were going to town on these mofo tanks! We got stuck at the last point defending and they sent tank after tank after tank into our not so loving embrace

Was hell good for ranking my engineer up, got 1.5 unlocks haha

the Carl Gustav is next so woot for that, lock-on is going to help immeasurably. I was pumped when I unlocked AT mines until I found out they replace my RPG-7... kind of not worth it?

Another weird thing, anyone gone into the vehicle stats and noticed there is NO Anti-Air emplacement listed!? What the hell!? Both the stingers are fly by wire and pretty useless against air as they don't bloody aim up high enough!

pretty decent sized update too

my Bandwidth Monitor says 600mb so far but I don't know how accurate that is anymore ever since it started telling me it had downloaded 80GB for a game

EDIT: Yep still wrong says 1GB now and it was about 10 seconds ago that it sad 600MB

This morning at some point. Went to bed at about 2 and got up at 7 and then it started so somewhere between 2 and 7

Damn I'm getting I to this game now! Getting harder and harder to tear myself away XD got an epic epic tank kill behind an entire bloody mountain today by accident lol and tore some arse with that mounted 50 in the unfinished building

you can hold off infantry and tanks for ages at the start with those two guns up there. Can engage the infantry just after their spawn and the missile as far as you can see to aim it

they hadn't even left spawn by the time they'd normally be up to the 3rd and 4th points.

yeah man last night was EPIC!
Glad i didn't go to bed

we lost all points really easily, but being on a team of 4 vs 7-8 kind of does that to ya.
Held the last point for a good 15 minutes. By the time we lost it was 5v5.
All I can say is the engineer + skar-h + rpg is a tank busting, marine hurting machine!
At one stage I swear it was only me and Skart doing anything, and our scores proved it. 3500 and about 3000 points to skart and me and the next one down was on around 1000 points.
We were laying down RPG fire left right and friggin centre!
I ran out of ammo, but with no sight of dying just yet, I thought "hey, I wonder what the power socket does against enemy vehicles"
well I can say, destroys them even better than the damn rpg!
got 3 vehicle kills in one life just running up behind tanks and wrenching away! stoked!

We played in a so called 'hardcore' server, which is supposed to have higher damage and no hud etc, but we still had a hud and the damage was the same, so I'm guessing the server name said hardcore but it wasn't enabled.

want to play this more and more!

Scar is better than the next gun I reckon

it does less damage but fires faster and less accurate... So yea I'd rather the Scar that does more damage and lands more hits. Can't wait for the new rocket launcher

hoping it locks on to choppers I friggen hate choppers! They're so hard to counter and rape hard as!

every day i play this game it just gets better and better.
rocking out as a recon for most of the night last night. unlocked all 3 sniper rifles plus a 4x optical zoom for close/medium range combat (but still works better than the 12x zoom on the semi-auto snipe snipe)

Was wicked last night, both Skart and I went medics, we watched eachother's backs.

This game is going to kick so much ass when it is released.
Going to have to find a server that will become my new home so I can get to know the residents and they can get to know me, I will be spending a lot of time there.

you need a billion, but apparently that is just cos they dont want you to unlock everything in the beta.
some unlocks need 100017000 points.
Should change when released though.

the ranks and unlocks are separate mercifully. And there's plenty of them and gadgets etc. Can get red dot sights and stuff for all the guns which actually helps a lot because you're higher up over the muzzle flash so you can see better. Found myself using the XM8 again because I could land more shots and it fires faster

one awesome thing I noticed, one of the global kit unlocks is the fricken G3!!! That was ownage in BF2. Kinda makes the other engie guns pointless

Nah not quite to that extent. Theres some but yeah not that many and it doesn't unlock the same way, you unlock RDS as a slot so it attaches to all guns of that class type rather than the gun you used to unlock it etc.

Theres a few different slots that add modifiers like an armor one that can add more damage or more weapons or more armor, you choose how you want to set it up
