I'm on my third character now, yet it is the first that has had any "real world" experience. I've been alive for about 4 hours now, and I've been traipsing around the countryside with my buddies stocking up on items and weapons.

Which weapons have you found? Which are your favorites and why? Which one are you truly seeking next?

Right now I've got a Remington with the flashlight and it's pretty boss. It's got a lot of power, but is actually quiet which makes for some zombie hunting fun.

I found a crossbow once, and it seemed like fun but I don't think I'd use it as my primary weapon for too long.

@M4cr0bat has a DMR and he is kicking arse. I definitely want to find one of those.

Just after you left the game I found an MP5 on top of an office building. Think I might stick with it for a while if I can keep my ammo up, also found a Winchester up there and a PW in the 2nd floor [Derp]

So much luck.

Nice. @M4cr0bat always says the best weapon is the one you have the most ammo for. A good philosophy to live by.

Yeah absolutely. I use the 1866 over everything for this reason. Powerful, decent range, not too loud but more importantly HEAPS of ammo. I've found a fair few beret guns but never enough ammo to bother.

I also use the revolver for the same reason and over the 1911 because of the accuracy but love both.

Still haven't found my precious shotgun on my new char. I've had a shit of a time ever since the last update killed me. No big deal though as life wad too easy on that character, wad erratically shooting zombies to use ammo lol.

I'm always running low on ammo with my shotgun, but then I find a random drop and it keeps me going for a while too. Wouldn't mind finding something new though, I've been packing the Remington for quite a while now.

Currently using an AKM and silenced M9. Problem is finding ammo for them though in non-military areas. Constantly needing other people to help me out.

I have no problems with ditching that if I found something decent with plenty of ammo. But why bother with double barrel shotguns?

Avoid it if you can find one. It is so loud it's basically useless like the Enfield.

A bit like my (now gone) FN FAL which is like shooting a stick of dynamite at someone in terms of loudness. :P

Apparently you can 'reassemble' ammo into other types. From what I've read .45ACP (Revolver) can be changed into 1911 ammo and vice versa.

Think I also saw that DMR ammo can be split into M24 ammo (both guns I've never found).

what kind of specs are needed for this? looks like fun but i only have the laptop atm. not real sure on the specs of it either haha. amd a6-3400m 1.4gh 4gb ram. thats all thats on the sticker... think it has 1gb dedicated graphics card maybe (radeon hd 6720g2 1gb) whatever that is

Go into your backpack, right click on the ammo, then it says change revolver into 1911 ammo, thats what i just saw anyway

Yep, also:
1911 mag 1 bullet > 45 acp 6 bullets
45 acp 6 bullets > 1911 mag 7 bullets

So trying this I basically refilled my empty mag...

I just found a M16 and it has a grenade launcher attachment.

Must find nades [Rage]

It is accurate, has burst and semi-auto firing but god damn it is loud.

Not sure how rare ammo is going to be either.
