Ok it was a pain in the ass trying to connect last night, every ANZ server was either buggy or lagged out. So I just gave up after a few servers.

i have both arma2 and OA.

edit: no longer getting the direct3d problem, just getting that first error, then an ingame error saying;

'bin\config.bin/cfgvehicles/citizen1.scope'

also when i try to join a server it says 'deleted:Chernuas chernarus'

Have you ran both Arma II and Combined ops on their own at least once? That could be causing you some issues. Also ensure you have the latest Arma II beta patch.

Tails, sounds like you might benefit from trying out the six launcher.
On the page you downloaded the dayz files from they should give you the option for the launcher.
Skarteh whines about it but it's super easy.

Now that I think about it, I don't really like having every other player shooting you to death. I didn't encounter anyone else on my first time playing it. Kind of makes it more frustrating.

Lmfao, that is how you start EVERY new spawn, you should have a flashlight, bandage, and one other item. You have to find a town and try and loot it, zombies will chase you, and can pretty much chase you for miles, look for trees or hills with steep slopes, run diagonal and they should walk cause of how steep it is.

Last night was a Pain in the ARSE!!!! We tried to find servers in aus and overseas and all of them crapped themselves... -_-
