Who is excited for this release, it looks pretty good from all the trailers and what not..and the release date should hopefully be this year, because eb games has it available for pre-order now and has tbc 2009, but you can never really trust eb lol...what are everybody elses opinions on d3

Should be, but I don't think it matters either way as the game defaults to the region of your battlenet account.

It doesn't except for the Auction House, and you can't take items you win in a certain region's Auction House out of that region. So if you buy an EU version, you'll be able to play NA servers (which is the default for Australia), but you can only use Auction House items on EU servers.

EDIT : Does anybody know if the 15th of may is the australian release date, or is it going off behind the times, american may the 15th. Cause all im seeing is 15 may america and europe time

Can someone briefly tell me what DIII is all about or what exactly you do? I have been looking over the netz and there's actually no proper explanation lawl. Im new to the diablo series. All i can think of that its like a birds eye view skyrim-like game

Also does it matter what region your DIII is?

So because I have to wait so long I decided to go looking through the manual on the D3 website.

Crafting looks interesting, but they also have gems again... Not only do they have gems, but they have 13 levels of them, that's right 13!!!! -_-

For those of you who may not have played D1 and D2, well not sure about D1 but gems were in D2, Gems can give you, extra life, extra gold, extra experience and better chance finding magical weapons.

Anyway getting to the annoying point, if you want to make the best gem, if they dont drop anywhere in the top levels, you need 3 gems of the level below... THERE ARE 13 LEVELS!!!!!
So in essence, to make a Radiant Star Topaz, which does 1800 extra damage [WTF] =D you need to find 2197 Flawed topaz, to build your way up through all of the levels, as you need 3 gems per level to get to the next one... enjoy wasting time finding gems :)

Edit : there is also chipped topaz [Facepalm] 14 levels...

I am new Doyl, but as scotty said, 14 is ludicrous, man 5 levels in D2 took forever to build up to perfect gems, until you had maxed out the game, and you pretty much had found all the fun stuff :(
then it didn't take AS long

Mmkay, couple of issues I've run into that I want you guys to be aware of. I'm running the EU installer, since I wanted EU English spelling.

1. I encountered an error in running the installer (after fully downloading) that said something like 'error reading battle.net.dll'. If you get this, just run the downloader again. It will check your downloaded files and retrieve new or missing ones.

2. After running the installer for a while, an error popped up reading, 'win_final.mpq is corrupt. You may have to download this file again.' If you get this, go to the file it's complaining about and delete it, then run the installer again. It will redownload it.

That's all that I encountered. The thing's now installed and ready. ^_^
