Seriously curious why. I never played the original, just LoL, so I really want to know why.

I think it's due to the fact that many former DotA players have already played it for like, 3-5 years? And going into DotA 2 there's really no difference aside from a prettier looking game.

Also, playing with friends is a HUGE factor. Back in those days you ALWAYS played DotA with mates, and since the Beta isn't that accessible, you only get matched up with randoms which makes the experience much more stale.

that pretty much somes up my feelings all in one.
ive been playing dota (wc3 mod) for a very long time, and even then i still wasnt a huge fan but the game was really fun with friends.

then i moved on to HoN which was made pretty good, but still didnt feel like wc3 dota.

yeah i dont know about this game, the map is really broken and too confusing even though its meant to simulate the original dota layout, last hitting/denying/havesting seems to be the only way you can succeed in a game, also the towers are weak as piss so you can dive super early with an agi hero and survive with almost no damage.
theres a few more factors, call me critical, but yeah im not a fan atm.

I got an invite for this from a friend, I already used it but I won't be playing as much when another game goes live.

I have experience with DotA, but it's mostly gone though, I still have fundamentals, I put myself under the familar bracket and held my own fairly well.

Not sure who I was really up against though.

I can help people with pointers but it's probably nothing you guys wouldn't already know.

I don't even remember what that was, was that with venomancer stacking wards ontop of roshan? and/or person on hill attacks roshan and have him run back and forth? @_@

Edit: Though in vanilla DotA I'm sure they fixed that ._ . I'm so bad.
