Fifa 12 and Steam

Do i have to install Origin if i try installing Fifa 12? I do not want to use Origin what so ever. Im planning on using Steam, so are Fifa 12 and Steam compatible without Origin getting in the way?

FIFA 12 isn't available on Steam, is it? :S

I assume that Origin is required to play, just like how Steam is required to play Valve games. As far as I know, there's nothing stopping you from using the Steam overlay. However, you'll have to run both Steam and Origin at the same time.

never really been a fan of sports games, but my friends who are fans are going crazy over fifa 12. is it really any good?

I dont want Origin to be honest. I hate Steam as it is i dont want another blood sucking organization program thingy on my PC.

Well, unfortunately for you, it seems that the major developers are moving this way, with digital distribution, updating and file management etc.

Origin isn't too bad. I don't quite like it as much as Steam (I've been using Steam since 2004), but you need it to run Battlefield 3, so, I guess I'll have to get use to it.
