Game Story Ideas/Script

Hello fellow MyFragers, I'm currently developing a PC game but need a story, and script.

I have no idea what to base my game on, it will be a First Person Shooter, Third Person Shooter or an Oblivian/Fallout 3 type First Person RPG.

If you guys have any ideas AT ALL please post them here. I'm getting kind of desperate.

For the best ideas, the user will go in the credits in my game.

Plain crashes on a island... one handgun in the pilots cabin, you start exploring the forest, theres monkeys and mutant monkeys... your normal kinda island thing with mutants and your trying to get off the entire time while finding out more and more about the island, then you end up falling in love with the island and decide to stay with regular weapon drops or something

I'm crap at coming up with stuff like that.

but you cant be an immortal god like in most games, you need a hard health system and rare ammo so you have to make weapons out of materials you find.

Any good?

Why not just make a prototype of the game's basic features, so that you know what's involved?

PROTIP: A lot is involved. I once programmed a text adventure game just to see how it was, and even though it had no graphics or physics or anything of the sort, it came out to like 1000 lines of code (a lot).

My Idea:
First person shooter with RPG elements (sorta like fallout 3, but better shooting mechanics and not in nuclear wasteland)
You are prince of a kingdom, in line for the thrown, when you get framed for the murder of your sister (princess). The public is outraged and the royal family are disgusted with you and banish you.

You then have to join an underground gang of sorts were you do quests and such to try and find out information about your sisters killer. One thing here though, is until you earn respect people treat you like dirt because you have royal blood. You eventually find out what is happening (haven't thought this through yet, tell me if your interested) and branch off on your own to hunt down and kill the person who framed you.

You are found out by your father (the king) who labels you a dangerous outlaw and his troops are another party you have to deal with, ending up in an ending with you, your sisters killer and your father in a room and you have to make decisions like weather or not to kill your father who has outlawed you and treated you like crap etc. as well as get vengance on your sisters killer who framed you.

would be good to have multiple endings too

Just made all in my head, not exactly thought through, but we can talk more if you are interested int he general idea.

I dont like making storylines.. i prefer the parts of the game like the hud...

I like it in Farcry 2 when the hud disappears and when you run you get the motion blur, and real sneak like in Oblivion would be nice, the health system realy annoies me, in most games your bloody imortal ffs like halo 3 even legenday is to easy your still a bloody god!

Cause the problem with not being a god is you can die and the game ends to easily and people will get sick with it cause they have to keep starting again and again...

Always Regen, that way it doesn't matter if you stuff up earlier in the level your not screwed and having to start over.

Also I always wanted to do a real war game. The idea would be that it was told in episodic chapters spanning across multiple wars showcasing the similarities and ridiculousness of the fighting. In my mind the opening scene is you in a gigantic parade in first person riding on a car and for a while you look around and enjoy the view then suddenly anti-war protesters break through and one spits in your face and thats when you get the first battlefield flashback.

ive always wanted a WW2 game where you are a foot soldier and all the other people on the server are soldiers to... like 300+ ppl on the server all in bunkers etc. would rock <3

Hours of multiplayer just preping then attacking etc like real war

Yeah that would be mad

But i dont think this game is gonna be that large scale...

*sighs* we can always hope that a game developer will do something like that oneday... i just hate all the online games you get today, everyone is a one man bloody army, no one is a teeam on a team deathmatch... i want to play a game with people who works togeather lik ei did with my best mate on urban terror, we would cover eachothers back while sniping. all todays retards go off on their own to try and ctf themselves. little do they know when you storm bases as a team they normaly cant resist cause the other team is spread out all over the palce...

For MMOFPS, check out The Agency. Should be coming out next year. It's like and MMORPG, but with guns or something.

Get a PS3, best thing I ever did.

Also, I think I might go with a health bar that regenerates.

I'll be going for realism if it's a war type shooter, if it's a fantasy, medievil or horror type game then I won't be going for realism.

MAG is awesome. It's release date is Jan 2010 so plenty of time to get a PS3 before then.

It's not going to be Pay2Play either. Neither is the Agency.
