Well a trailer has finally been released, the start is mostly concept art in motion but it does eventually show you the game engine running:

I know theres a few GW fans lurking around here so what are your thoughts guys?

Personally I'm a bit disappointed with the graphics I sort of expected better... as is it only looks marginally better than Guild Wars did (which is not to say its bad) but yeah it looks pretty samey. One thing that looks fantastic are the level designs, some amazing looking stuff there, they've really gone to town on the concept art and brought it to life.

I'm worried about this game... I hope its a return to form. I miss how brilliant Prophecies was.

Oh right, sorry was doing an assignment and wasn't focusing.

The download client looks sweet. When it finishes it boots into the actual client. You can't login. But it all looks awesomejnwiueghbwiuyhegr

I want the artbook. Waited so long for this game damned if I'm gonna miss out on the artbook.

Beta seems quite large. From the amount downloaded to the progress bar it looks like its going to be about 20gb :/

I need a new games hard drive XD wonder how long it will take me to full a 2TB haha.

EDIT: Oh hells yeah they have kept the easy window mode where you can resize the window to any size you want or go full screen *_*

Also I can't seem to connect.

For anyone playing the BETA I have selected "Fissure of Woe" for my server if you wanna play with me. I would have selected Sorrows Furnace if it wasn't full because I ****ing loved Sorrows Furnace (love)

Unofficial Oceanic servers are Darkhaven and Sea of Sorrows; both I cannot get onto. So I'm playing on Scavenger's Causeway.

EDIT: Tom how did you check the ping? All I got was a thing telling me how full they are...

You have a free one for the beta I believe.

When I was picking a server, I saw they were in either America or Europe. Europe is twice as far away from Australia as the US is (because we don't route through Europe, we go through America -> Europe) so it's double the ping.

For League of Legends, for example, the servers are held in California in the US and Germany in Europe. US ping is about 180-220ms, EU ping is about 300-320ms.

Cant you just create a new character on a new server?

Edit. NVM, you can't do that like a normal MMO :(
