Well a trailer has finally been released, the start is mostly concept art in motion but it does eventually show you the game engine running:

I know theres a few GW fans lurking around here so what are your thoughts guys?

Personally I'm a bit disappointed with the graphics I sort of expected better... as is it only looks marginally better than Guild Wars did (which is not to say its bad) but yeah it looks pretty samey. One thing that looks fantastic are the level designs, some amazing looking stuff there, they've really gone to town on the concept art and brought it to life.

I'm worried about this game... I hope its a return to form. I miss how brilliant Prophecies was.

How many hanger you actually played at length Tom? Like did you ever give GW a shot? A proper 200+ hour shot? I'll be surprised if I end up preferring GW2 but I am new to this kind of MMO not having played WOW or anything. Gave Rift like an hour? Thats it lol...

Tom, i didn't get as much time in it as i would've liked. But from what i played i was kinda let down in the questing. pvp was by far the best besides a few glitched places i found players sitting in. I'm not sure what is missing it's just me i'm a very picky player. next beta ill be putting alot of effort in and playing without distraction.

Why so many for such a small amount of time? Barely breaking the seal on a game that big in 20-30 hours.

Figured as much. Well I thought you might have played it a little but I could tell you had barely played it at the very least.

Figured as much. Well I thought you might have played it a little but I could tell you had barely played it at the very least.

A lot of them were free Korean MMORPGs. After 30 hours you get quite bored.

I quit Ragnarok Online at the start of this year, been paying it since open Beta.

Never ended up getting past the Searing, LOL

Pre-Searing did not draw me into GW. I think I was about up to Kryta before I really got into it, but once I was into it the pre-Searing was like my favourite area :S Weird that...

GW takes along time to get into pre searing is my most hated part of the game and never really liked any of the expansion but still managed 1500 hours i hope GW2 is bad so i don't waste my time on it lol.

I thought EB were actually meant to get actual beta keys, different to the normal, cause if they give you your cd key that means they must already have the box and everything there :S

Also they only take a $50 deposit so they would give you a $200 game for that if it was the real key. Safe to say its a beta key.

Really, I never believed it was the be all end all like most individuals but it does look excellent to me even with some of the concerns being revealed from this few days, and with no sub it'll definitely be value my $60. I was never on any of the other wow monster games group (rift, Conan, alien, warhammer ) I never purchased any of those, and while I think the phrase "wow killer" is just a foolish declaration I think GW2 could "possibly" come near to it.

What did you folks think of Tera? I set up the no cost try out last few days performed for about 30 min and removed it, I didn't like the rabbit focusing on program, but I did like the way it checked other than it looks like it could be a activity title for pedophiles lol.
