I think versus mode is the best, Can't wait till they bring out the other two campaigns for versus mode.

That is the best news I have heard in a while (besides the announcement of Left 4 Dead 2). Sooner rather than later! that's awesome. I look forward to new campaigns and stuff!

Indeed! I can leech extra gaming hours off the achievements of others! I was trying to do that with Chaz but she made it clear she doesn't care about them so I need someone who wants to get the Expert campaign ones done to get me back into that

I love a good Expert run! Mind you its frustrating until everyone gets their Expert groove on which will include me because since playing versus I have not been worrying about TK dmg

TK damage is so epically harsh.
There was a while where I was only running expert, but now I fear that too much versus may have crippled my expert efforts.
That and I was playing with some really really good chaps.

I am all up for some extra expert action, I am still co complete the campaign where you finish off in a house with a big barn next to it.
I think once I have done that then I will get that expert acheivy.

And don't worry too hard about getting them before L4D2 comes out Guyver, November is still 5 months away yet.

well that is your problem.
The bots are rendered USELESS on expert.
absolutely no point in having a bot unless you want to use them as bait (which can actually be fairly helpful sometimes, but then you can always just use your most hurt player anyway)

the closest thing to expert is advanced, and even advanced is miles off the difficulty of expert!

i just updated my Graphics card driver and now left 4 dead comes up with you graphics card driver are out of date what is going on there?

just ignore it.
all that means is that the driver you just installed isn't in thier list of compatible drivers.
It will still run fine (IIRC you can tick a box so that the message doesnt come back)

yeah mine was doing it when I had the early windows 7 beta drivers installed.
Since they released the latest ones it hasn't said anything to me at all.
Just give steam a few days to catch up.

I don't think its possible to finish Expert with 1 player. I've done a couple of campaigns with 2 players and 2 bots but we were very good at expert at this stage and we literally used the bots only to carry health kits for us until we could hold them ourselves. If we saw a bot using a kit, that bot would be shot dead by us. They have absolutely no purpose beyond ferrying the kits around for you but if they start using them BAM.

4 players is obviously ideal but its quite easy to do it with 3. The finales are the only times you notice you only have 3 humans. That guide I wrote on Expert will help you through it

you will soon learn its not so much about skill but technique and adhering to all those rules. Bots are mainly useless because they A) Take far too much damage and B) Walk right in front of you ALL the time.

If they weren't such over-healing, non meleeing, retarded TK magnets they would be alright. Also they need to recode them so they run away when the tanks on fire rather than try and shoot him

Advanced is easy you can do that with bots

the only hard difficulty is Expert, the gulf between that and all the others is like the grand canyon

We should give No Mercy a shot on Expert tonight

we can kill each other lots until we get used to Expert again haha

Then we will suck at the MyFrag Versus games! Thats one annoying thing, you can't really be good at both because you either get into the habit of one or the other, the play style is so different for expert and every other difficulty and game mode in L4D
