When I first got Mass Effect 3 I dived right into the single player not giving the online mode much thought, I pretty much assumed it was just a half arsed tagged on component simply added to the game to keep the online addicts happy.
I left it on the back burner for some time as well, only recently I have given it a chance because I was keen on boosting up my galactic readiness to 100 percent before I finish my trilogy marathon.
Right now I'm pretty much at the end of this marathon and my galactic readiness is all most at 100 percent. Originally I was going to give up on the online mode after I achieved what I wanted but sfter playing for this short amount of time I have started to like it.

Even better is the announcement of the Mass Effect 3: Resurgence DLC pack which is surprisingly free. Initial thoughts from me was that Bioware would give the online mode bugger all support so this was appreciated.

What characters have you got?
Which to you prefer using?
Have you bought any of the packs using accumulated points or did you spend some real cash and actually buy the packs?

For those keen on playing with other MMGN members I'm running an online event once a week for this. Here's an example pc.mmgn.com/... that's the last game organised.
There's a section for each system, PC, 360 and PS3, I run the PC game (mostly) but I do need help from people that own the console versions to run the same game. Post here or PM me if you have any ideas on how to improve this event.

I got like all the existing vanilla characters except Quarian engineer I believe.

I haven't spend any money yet though I was tempted with the premium spectre pack.

Character preference depends, I like Asari adept for blowing up big targets and Turian soldier if I just feel like spraying and sniping.

Human Infiltrator if want to flank my targets and try to clear objectives quickly weapon of choice would be the geth shotgun at the moment.

Asari adept is probably the easiest for Gold at the moment w/ a decent strength sniper. Just the combo of stasis-snipe-biotic explosion (either pull or warp) kills pretty much every non boss enemy.
Also i find that on gold i have the easiest time with Cerberus. The geth hunters always get me and those rocket things for the reapers are super annoying.

i actually think salarian engineer is the best for Gold. the decoy is priceless, and energy drain does awesome damage when upgraded properly (and fast recharge) for quick tech bursts. also, geth is the easiest for me. they all focus on the decoy while me and my team kill everything, and when they kill my decoy and it explodes (taking down some enemies with it), i just put up another one straight away.

most fun would have to be krogan soldier and human infiltrator (cant get over the cloak)

Right now all I have is a level 19 human Sentinel which is good enough to keep me out of trouble but it does feel like I struggle when the heat is on and I'm surrounded by enemies. Looking forward to unlocking a Turian or Krogan.

I think I'm level 90 something overall, played all classes except for Infiltrator (because i really don't find it appealing tbh). Being a vanguard in Gold is suicidal unless you have god fast internet. In Bronze, human vanguard is OP lol, able to take down an atlas or Geth Prime very easily alone (unless you have crap internet). Actually, in bronze the human vanguard can take ANY opponent very easily alone except for Banshees.

One thing I find really painful is you've been waiting around for a matched up game and when you finally get it going it's a lag fest. There's no way to know until you start. The online interface is complete rubbish, another fine example of Bioware forgetting that people actually use computers to play games.

Oh yeah, has anyone manged to get the voice chat working, the default button is to hold down tab button but nothing happens.

Plays the same as the single player game even the stages are the same. Mostly closed off side mission stages. As expected you can't hold down shift and expect the whole game to pause while you select a weapon, I had to get used to hot keys for powers.

Been logging on and having the occasional game and I've almost got 100 percent galactic readiness for each area. What makes it frustrating is the amount of laggy games I get stuck with, either they are hosted in another country or the person hosting has a rubbish connection. This is why I hate P2P gaming, first off if the host doesn't have a good connection the game lags, second if the host gets bored and leaves mid game it's over. If you are hosting the least you can do is finish the game. Also there should be some sort of filter that prevents people with crap connections hosting a game.
One more complaint to add to Mass Effect doody pile is that we can not see how crap a game's connection will be until we get into the game. that may not sound that bad but I've had times where I've been stuck in a lobby waiting for idiots to press the ready button, then after all that the game lags like hell.

Like I've said before this game could be awesome if it was just slightly optimized for PC..

I really like the Batarian Soldier on silver. He has pretty strong shields and his Ballistic blades can knock off 4-5 enemies or at least stagger them at close range.

No one feels my pain about the multi-screen thing on this site. I'll go to widescreen gaming.com where I'm appreciated...also my setup looks like crap compared to some of theirs :P

..but you'd be a bit posed off you were inn the same situation. A company with that much resources can add decent high end PC support is just embarrassing even more so when Indie developers can do it....

That's what I HAVE to do but everytime I want to throw my phone at EA and show them what a clock is cause apparently they're lack consideration and WHY NOT [Rage]

Kero speculated it's a way for them to have you play their games longer when i first brought it up. [Rage]

I heard EA have their server resets on tuesdays not sure if that's true, regardless it doesn't matter, it's monday atm.

Nah, it's been happening since the weekends. I'm pretty sure it's not on my end since FIFA 12 has been working normally for me.

I'm pretty sure I've lost at least 100 000 credits and around 10 levels now due to disconnection from EA servers..

Just about there with the galactic readiness, only one area that's on 95 percent and two others on 97. Couple more good games and I'm there.

Decided to spend some points and get the veteran pack at least I got another rifle and some mods for my pistol. Also some one off items that I''ll save for a gold game.

Oh very sneaky Bioware I didn't know that your galactic readiness reduces over time if you don't keep playing online. I had everything in the high 90s early this week and didn't have a chance to play the game, today when played I noticed that it had dropped to high 80s and low 90s in all areas. At first I thought my cloud data and hardware data didn't sync up properly. Then in the time it took me to take out the illusive mans base and get back to Earth I was down to 99 percent everywhere even though I JUST spent the night playing online getting it to 100 percent.
So tomorrow morning I'll have to play a couple of online games before I finish the game and chose what colour I want my ending.
I understand Bioware wanting us to keep coming back to the multiplayer but reducing our overall percentage making it go back into the red is bull shit. I wouldn't care that much if it only dropped a bit but still enough for everything to be in the gray but...bla bla *gives Bioware the finger*
