Just gave M$ flight a try and I got an achievement for stacking the plane :P

The flight stick half works just got to map the buttons but it wont let me do that for some reason. Going to check the drivers.
Anyone else here use a flight stick as well? which controls did you map to what buttons?

I am pleased that it runs in surround mode maxed out at 5760 x 1080.

ehhh not really, but it does have land formations, cities and some landmarks. It does have the entire world though and just about every airport you can poke a stick at, even regional things you didn't even know were there.

Well I gave Microsoft Flight a go today.
Its different I'll give it that, its certainly geared more towards non hardcore flight simmers and if it gets people into the genre then so much the better. I buggered up the first landing going for what was the flaps key in FSX while coming into land and they key (f8) now changes the view which threw me (and the landing) off.

I won't be buying the game or the DLC unless they release stuff I would want to fly in places I want to fly to but it was ok especially for a free to play game. I hope it does well and more and more expansions are released because then I'll get into it.

The graphics look pretty sweet once you actually turn them on and it did run really smooth on full high on my 5770 at 1920x1200.

The missions are very different to FSX and in some parts I found a bit boring because you're flying a plane which essentially flies itself, there is no challenge involved for me, no need to constantly check my gauges and map (although I did anyway out of habit).

All in all it is very friendly to those new to the genre and I recommend it, especially being free. If you play it, like it and want more then definitely go and buy FSX, the graphics aren't going to be as pretty but the game mechanic can be a lot of fun plus you can fly anywhere you want in the world in any plane or helicopter you like.

Finally got around to installing the Attack 3 drivers for my flight stick and it all seems to be working well problem is I have no idea what to map where. I'll need to play this more to get a better understanding of the game.

No, its a limited area, you can buy Hawaii for money though.
