Thought I'd start a thread on this for the PC version, hopefully we get a good optimized version with lots of graphics customisation and (yes I know I keep asking this) multi-screen support with Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround. Here's a bit of rpreview from PC gamer.

I don't think the Aliens should be hard to kill, but they should certainly come in big packs. It wouldn't be much of an action game, akin to "Aliens", if we only came up against 1 or 2 Aliens at a time.

I was going to jump all over this on PC but I think I'm going with the Wii U version. However the prospect of MMGN co-op night is rather tempting.

Gearbox have been raving about this for quite some time, hopefully they deliver the Alien experience we all deserve!

There was all this talk about a female character being added to the game.

I don't understand why there isn't a female protagonist considering every film in the series has had one. I get that this is "action" orientated, but a female soldier? Or maybe some scenes where Ripley is moving through the environment? Or something?

Anyway, the developer has responded to Tweets about a female character in the game:

Aliens: Colonial Marines was announced in 2006 "before the ink was even dry on the paper" according to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, who also explains that, "Usually we’d be very far along with a project before it’s even announced."

2002! I had no idea it had been in development for that long.

Looks great cool! I didn't mind the alien gameplay in Aliens vs Predator from earlier this gen. I wonder if Gearbox is using a similar engine

AvP alien gameplay and movement WAS alot better than this crap in A:CM. But i dont mind as im a marine player. All i want to know is.. ARE WE GETTING COLLECTORS EDITION IN AUS FOR PC! :)

Not sure for PC but boy is the console one awesome.

A great video for fans of the movies. A great insight as to how Gearbox is approaching the source material and creating the Aliens. Must watch for Aliens fans!

I was going to get this on PC but I think the Wii U version is calling my name. Perhaps I'll invest in both.

This game is an insult to gamers. Graphics are shocking sound is shocking and I have it on PC. My PC has been built to be Crysis 3 ready. I can't believe that the mechanics of the game are horrible. It's as if we have taken a time machine and gone back in time. The game is so out dated its not funny.

There is nothing wrong with the game, only with what people expected the game to be. The graphics are fine, the multiplayer is heaps of fun and the campaign brings back that Aliens feeling like the AVP games (marine campaigns) never could.

Honestly I have 2 complaints, it does seem too easy, I havn't tried ultimate badass yet, just hardened and the marines move a little slower than I thought they would, but with all that armour on I wasn't expecting a world class sprinter or anything

if you like Aliens give it a try, a decent try, don't get caught up in the internet trolls and people with unrealistic expectations, it is a good game, maybe not a fantastic game it won't win game of the year or anything but it is lots of fun

I'm really trying to like this game but the more I play it the more I want to slam my head against a concrete wall.

The AI is terrible, the graphics are shocking, the weapons sound like pea-shooters, it's meant to be an Aliens game yet I just went through an entire chapter without seeing one xeno!

I feel guilty buying this and if i had of bought it on Xbox 360 or PS3 I'd be returning it tomorrow.

I also agree with everything acwolf1970 said. It truly is a massive trout slap to the face for fans and gamers. :'@
