SteamWatch is Failing

Ok it was working and everthing and just in the last month or so it keeps downloading from different servers like internode. if tried to reinstall and clear the registry of it but its still being a bitch. Anyone got any ideas?

nah it just wont download then

im trying Freys Steam filter ATM its working but it seems the things arnt on the servers

I can see you're downloading the AvP demo like I recommended. Just a heads up, 3fl didn't have it when I tried to download it. I had to wait until off-peak. Maybe they still don't have it...

Dude. i posted this a while back. the bigpond servers have changed their IP's.

Use freys steam filter saves you having to modify it.

You have to download the new frey filter, it has been updated in the past week with the new BP ip's.

If that still doesnt work then the content you wish to access is not on teh bigpond server.

i was trying to download tf2 it went to 20% and then stopped and wouldnt start i even tried a couple of days later but no success

EDIT: yeah it looks a lot better than it did before but do you have to leave it running while steams on?

Yeah the bigpond servers changed their ip so steamwatch no longer works correctly. uninstall steamwatch and install Freys Steam Filter form the link i posted above.

E~ you just start the exe, select bigpond, then click "apply filter". the filter is now applied so you can close the filter manager yes.

But i dont thinks the games are on GA

So if select the Sydney Telstra server as my download server it will count towards unmetered as i'm with BIGPOND.????

Using a mac i can't download those Steam Server filter programs.

I just used a program called little snitch and while i was downloading TF2 from steam a number of connections were present. (i downloaded about 300mb to test whether it will count as unmetered on my plan)

I should have recorded them but one was:
ga2.gamearena.com.au (obviously the gamearena server)

There were other ip addresses and one other server connection that didn't look like gamearena.
I tried to deny the other connections using the program but that kept appearing in the connection history.

Should i risk it, i really want to download tf2 but i can't risk getting capped this month, important business.

Just downloaded about 6 gigs of TF2 while montoring on a Steamwatch like program for mac, i made sure that gamearena was showing up on the connections but can't be sure that it will be unmetered.

It changed from a gamearena server to some 3fl one with less then 1 gb to go. :'@

Sweet, i stopped it when it showed 3FL.

Just tryied to continue the download, getting that annoying 'steam servers too busy' error that is becoming a regularity .

Yeah, I am downloading now from steam now using Frey's steamfilter. My advice if that if you see your steam client saying not responding and your using the filter give it a few mins and it should work. All so if you want to see if steam is downloading from your IPS's steam content server there's a program called TCP View and its really awesome it shows you all of the programs that connect to the internet and where they are connecting too.
