Just starting this up cause I said I would just to see how many people are interested in this game, since there has hardly been any mention of this game on mmgn at all.

To sum things up in my perspective Tera online is an open world action subscription based MMO.

It's probably one of the more official unique MMOs compared to the likes of WoW etc, but it's by far from the truth, action MMOs are here and there with micro transactions as it's funding.

It's main merit is it's one of the few open world action mmos.

It does have some interesting features like a political system, which allows players to run ingame towns etc, if they can get that far otherwise it does shut out weaker more casual players from that ability while rewarding more dedicated players cause these towns are limited and affect everyone I believe.

Yeah I ended up getting a 2nd EU key, 1 out of 50 apparently I gave that away also.

It's so lame people take keys and sell them :S

It's common with a lot of "popular" betas. SWTOR was the same way, those keys went for like, $200 at the beginning.

I figured, that still doesn't change the fact it's lame :P

Just like the LoL pax skins etc, only those are somewhat fair... since you got to go there and get them, beta keys are lame since they're free over the internet :(

You can get a CBT1 Beta key apparently from IGN atm, but you need one of their membership services...

Probably not worth paying for it but if you can find an alternative/have an existing membership account etc.

You can get one I guess.

Though you could use that free trial thing and cancel I guess =D

Edit: Also for those unaware the Tera Beta client has been up for download since 10am Sydney time, aka 10+ GMT

So it's a good idea to snag a key if you want to play this weekend starting friday to sunday!

Edit2: Tera's Diagnostic tool, should be helpful if anyone has concerns about their current setup to run Tera~

Took me 4-5 days to download it [Rage]

Regarding lag, it can actually get quite bad, but I had no idea what my ping was at, I'd probably say with command delay go with LoL as an example, but I think 400ping perhaps is still pretty solid I'm not sure though, 700+ and it's frustrating especially as a lancer when you're trying to sneak hits inbetween blocks and windows only for your block to delay and you eat a hit.

DPS might not have this problem... but I'm not sure whether you'll feel the rubberband effect I don't notice it except when I'm traveling between zones via Pegasus Station.

Edit: Might be good to know that the high resolution patch for CBT2 should be up already, I'm busy with work but I'll try to keep updates on obtaining CBT2 Keys if I can.

CBT2 starts next weekend, so the 24th to 26th of February 2012 In america, which is saturday for us, not sure whether they'll start at the same time which was 12 Noon PST, aka 7 AM Sydney time.

But I'll keep you guys updated on that if I find out, probably won't though :O

While I haven't seen anything on the NA CBT2 yet, I thought I'd sure something about EU Tera's Beta which really bites:

But to sum things up Europe gets very limited play/testing time of about 9 hours per day, over 3 days.

Not to sure why they would do that, it's better to stress test the servers or what not as well as letting players have more time to play so they can find more bugs.

On the bright side their CBT1 has Guild vs Guild along with a PvP server, and PK functions.

Edit: Found some rumours about CBT2 for Tera, apparently they will be increasing the level cap to 27, again these are rumours and I cannot find a source to confirm this.

It's a PvP server though :P

I was busy trying to hit the cap for this CB, I hit capped at about 18 hours it can easily be faster if you know what you're doing and with the right people.

It's also why I haven't been on here, sorry guys~! =)

They probably won't wipe OBT as they keep saying that.

"duration of the closed beta period", meaning whatever character you had in CBT1 will stay in CBT2 etc.

But after CBT5 everything gets wiped :(
