I thought I start a general discussion on this share any info I come across or discover on my own. Hopefully this can be useful for anyone thinking of doing this. I know it may seem that I have been crapping on about this for a few days now and that's because I'm super excited about it. I've spent ages collecting all the parts needed and have been stuffing around trying to get it to work. Initially I had heaps of problems but now it's all sorted and I'm slowly going through my games to what works and what doesn't.

L4D2 in Surround Mode

I have 3 x 24" monitors that have a native resolution of 1920 x 1080, combined in surround mode with no bezel adjustment the resolution comes to 5760 x 1080. As nice as this is it does make my graphics cards work overtime. Some games I used to max out now need to be dialed back a little(usually a little dialing back of the AA setting does the trick). I decided not to go with bezel adjustment because it's not very nice to use for other non gaming tasks because you lose anything displayed behind the bezel. The following is a list of games that I have tried at 5760 x 1080. I still have a lot to get through and I'll keep this thread updated for those that are interested.

Did a bit of a clean up today, cleaned all the screens and stashed all the desktop wires. Now with my new Leopold FC500R keyboard the whole desktop area looks pretty clean and minimalistic. Yeah take that iMac users :P and that's with 2 computers hooked up.

Also fiddled around with the base colour settings to try and get a better picture. After seeing my mates 30" IPS monitor it's hard looking at my cheap screens with out judgment [Shifty]

Just tried Hard Reset in Surround mode and to my surprise it runs perfectly at default settings. This is how all games should be, all I did was wind up a few settings and I was good to go.

It has been a while since I've updated this thread so I'll get back into it now. I've bought a few more games since late last year thanks to the Steam sales so I post some screen shots as soon as I get the chance. Turns out the Steam screen capture system works perfectly and grabs the entire screen properly, the only thing it doesn't gram is the on screen display of my Afterburner details. Would have been nice to see the FPS and GPU temperatures as well.

Recently I've been playing Hard Reset which runs great maxed out apart from some weird glitch I get when I turn the AA to full. For some reason the colours go all funny so I have to drop it down a setting. Less stress on my cards then.

A couple shots of Dues Ex, pretty much just fired up the game to take the screen shots, as I get further through the game I'll get some better shots. This game I'm very happy with because it has full multi-screen support.

Fired up E.Y.E Devine to see how it would go, once I noticed it was running the Source engine I knew it would just be like all the other Source games, but at least the HUD is a little more centralised unlike other Source games. It actually sits on the right hand screen but it's up against the right side of it.

Just like Dirt 2 this game runs awesome in wide screen gaming mode.

I only use my triple screens for iRacing now. Most other games seem to give me motion sickness.

A few more screen grabs of Deus Ex, though these were worth sharing. They are the a few transitions between gameplay and cut scene, unlike the FMV rendered parts these are still in full screen mode.

Still got the trusty old G15 hey Guyver [MOG] Lol. Mine started to fail on me, was getting cruddy and old. Got the Logitch G110 to replace it, and its excellent. Same thing pretty much in a very slightly smaller form (mainly due to smaller borders around the keyboard) and no screen. Has a 3cm-wide scrollwheel for volume control and multiple colour settings. Very happy with it.

Sold off the G15 to my cousin and he's happy with it. Got Leopold FC500R Mechanical Keyboard (Cherry Blue) wich is much nicer to use. A lot less fancy but much more responsive.

Fired up Blur for the first time in ages and I was hoping they would have sorted out the menu problem.

See I can only see half the menu. Absolutely stupid that the game runs fine but the menus are unenviable. I had to do a lot of guessing and switching between resolutions just to get the game started Glad I have a copy on PS3 as well..

Been playing mass effect 3 for a bit today and game play is "playable" in surround mode but you can't see all the menus so basically the overall game is unplayable

i just watched this video. looks great but doesn't give peripheral vision. [MOG] Is 3d gaming good? anyone use 3d monitors, more then 1?

Most dual GPU cards are massive, even my old GTX295 was a tank.

Getting the most out of my monitor bracket and placed my speakers up on it as well. One less thing sitting on my desk now, technically 2 less things. I was going to double side tape them down in case they get knocked over but they seem stable enough...for now [Shifty]

Took a few screenshots of F1 2010 which runs pretty smooth at Ultra settings if you don't get too greedy with AA. I think with some decent overclocking on these 480's I'm sure it can do a better job of it. Looking forward to getting these cards on water, for the extra performance and the peace and quite.

Added some random screen shots of the game of Left 4 Dead 2 game we tonight. Pretty much the only time I remember to take a screen shot is when I'm dead but you don't have time to stuff around when playing expert mode. Even the basic zombies can drop you on your arse in a couple of hits.

As you can see from the screen my HUD is spaced out at each end of the screen which makes keeping track of you inventory and health a challenge. There's a mod that centers your HUD but all servers kick you off when you use it because they think you are cheating :(
