Anyway, here we post all our WoW talk. Exchange class tips, mods, find Fraggies on your server etc etc.

I'll start off...been playing WoW for about 3 years on and off. It seems everytime I "quit" i keep coming back simply because...well, I can't run much else on my computer that's worth playing. Most "game experiences" fall on my 360. I have a 70 Human Warrior on Jubei'Thos and a new Death Knight on Dreadmaul.
To be honest, I really like the Death Knight not just because its the flavour of the month. Its a genuinely interesting class but I can understand where all the prejudice is coming from...it is still severely overpowered in PvP...but I can't for the life of me understand why no one wants them in raids or heroics. They're the IDEAL DPS class...but people still seem to reject us. Ah well...they'll get over it soon I guess.

So what servers do you guys play on? What classes, play-style (PvE or PvP?) do you prefer and feel free to share some in-game stories.

A quick 'wow is dying' search on google gives a good 4000+ results.
Hell, there could be 10 million kiddie fans still playing, now that wow has become 'mainstream', but that's the very thing that's killing it. There's no challenge left for the proper players anymore, so why would they keep at it?
Edit: To add to this, have a good read around the WoW forums. Hundreds of guilds have disbanded and quit, and more continue to every day. Like it or not, it's happening.

The creator must be rolling in enough cash to retire on by now anyway.

Yep, no doubt about that.

The hardcore players are the ones that have pushed it as far as it has come. The ones that have been there since the old days, seen and cleared all the content - they are the ones that have kept the game alive. Casual players, don't see and certainly don't clear difficult content. That's why in WOTLK, with the focus on making casual gamers happy, all the hardcore players feel ripped off. They won't sustain it for much longer unless they rebalance the content.

Why do you think Blizzard are working on another secret mmorpg? Because even they know that WoW has an expiration date.

I think Blizzard have said that World Of Warcraft is here to stay "Forever" with no expiration date insight.

Forever? Nothing lasts forever. Particularly not a game based on dwindling numbers. They'll tell you what you wanna hear, so that curious folks may still make the decision to play and fork over the dollars.

But ultimately, they're developing something new, in hopes in will take over when this one is worn out.

Everything dies eventually.

Not really. Any of you checked out be.imba.hu ? Rates your gear, and tells you what raids heroics etc you'll do well in and gives you an overall score of your gear...

436 and feeling fiiiine.

Also, upcoming MMORPG... Champions Online.

That is true, I would like to know how mmany world of warcraft/my frag members are on oceanic servers?

Sounds interesting, if the inforamtion can be usefull to others then we might be able to do something like that.

What's going to happen when you guys level up? How often does that happen and should I ask for an Update every week or couple of weeks?

It will be easy enough to keep it up to date if you guys just post in that same thread. Just say: "Doles, I'm now level 50"
I will see that thread jump to the top and I will know to check it. Don't post that info in this thread hoping I will see it, because I won't
